Mitch Gallagher presents the Universal Audio Fender '55 Tweed Deluxe amp-modeling plug-in, with help from James Santiago from UA. This plug-in is compatible with all UAD-2 Powered Plug-in processors, including the Apollo series of audio interfaces.

I just bought this plug, and it's amazing. And, used to hate (strong word) amp sims. I'm a total tube snob. Times are a changing my friends. Just put it on the unison insert and away you go. Great job by Mitch and James too. Love hearing from guys like James who are super passionate about their gear and the plugs they make. Now, I know why UA plugs are so sweet. Guys like James obsess over getting it right. Rock on people!

That was the first plug-in I bought after getting my Apollo Twin X Quad. I still discover new nuances with it, it’s really a „deep“ product. It sounds absolutely fantastic! I’m a tube guy myself and have a few Fender amps kicking around my home studio, but I happily (and regularly) use this on recordings, not just for convenience. It’s that good. UAD doesn’t pay me btw 😁

Great sounding amp! Great playing! This is certainly the best amp sim plugin I've ever heard. I'm hearing the name Josh Smith everywhere too, he's great!

Love the passion here and where finally what looks good on paper isn’t always translated into practice and how the artist and developer worked hand in hand to emulate the magic sadly missing in many efforts when analogue is taken into the digital realm x

what's the normal vs line do? is normal if i'm in the Hi-Z input?

Total ignorance of how amp sims work. Wife works at home and I need to keep it to zero db. I want a tube amp-old school sound. I do know that I need an interface. How would I use this? I searched and it looks like I need to buy a full amp package and this is just an add-on for $100. That wouldn't work for me. I hope i'm wrong. Thanks!

No, you need a UA interface to run any of their plugins

I believe you can use it as a VST on your DAW but really not sure and you're losing the Unison preamp and 0 latency

Joel Ortiz Haha for sure, I have the Marshall silver jubilee plugin and i've gotten some nice tones out of it. I'm definitely picking this up though.

Yeah definitely this is the one to buy! with some tweaking and/or combination w/other plugins it's a go. Amplitube 4 has a great tone as well. Nice to see progress in the amp plug in world.

Well, they haven't done any amp plugins before this one. Still think many of the Brainworx and Softube offerings sounds great. This one is for sure the best emulation however, I just don't like the sound of the amp.
