In this video, M15 delivers food to the nest. E22 sees Dad and circles around the pasture towards the nest, and the relentless mocking bird joins the festivities 😁. The findings in this video are my personal opinions based on my observations. Please take my findings with a grain of salt! This video was recorded on Monday, May 15 of 2023. At the time this footage was recorded, E22 was 128 days old. This is a public video. You may share it at your discretion. This footage is part of a series that was recorded after Hurricane Ian destroyed the main nest and Harriet's disappearance. Enjoy the video! Thank you for all this beauty! I am currently following a nest of Red-Tailed Hawks (the female is a beautiful leucistic hawk, with one chick) - Blue Jays and Mockingbirds are acting like real pests - relentless! I have never seen such persistent dive bombing!

How precious is this. Daddy M always provides! Poor E22 is being harassed by that mockingbird. Bless him. What that mockingbird doesn’t know is that our eagles could pluck its three feathers and be eaten in 2 bites! Gutsy little birds! ❤️🦅💙🦅🐣🐣❣️❣️❣️❣️

Beautiful music and video. Appropriately majestic for an eagle in flight. This brought tears to my eyes. What am I going to be like when you show us E22's last flight from the nest area? While I don't want that to be soon, I believe M15 is due for a long rest. He has aged so much this year when you compare this to videos of him and Harriet rebuilding their nest.

Small birds don't like birds of prey near their nest and babies. I've seen them do this to crows and hawks as well. It's breeding season for them. They are protecting their nests.

Juvies appear larger due their young flight feathers which help them learn how to fly. They will lose these as they mature. If one Googles "why do juvie bald eagles look larger than their parents" one can find a wealth of info about it. 😉
