I went through this same process for my Vestax QFO 2 months ago. I had one and was a hip hop dj for years but I sold it. I finally tracked one down and paid a pretty penny for it. They only made 800 of them. This video reminds me of that whole process. So with that being said I feel your excitement and appreciation and understand it very well. Cheers Mate.

That red controller one is a thing of beauty! My buddy DJ Mana has a black one, but I don’t know how to use it!! I feel that it really helps to be classically-trained to get the most out if this thing!

Cool toy you got there probably one of the most inovative products in turntablism. I hope it lasts you forever and if i where you i would try to get as many parts as i can while it is still possible so if anything goes wrong you don't have a piece of red obsolescence.

Luck man, I always wanted one of these to explore the midi capabilities, people like John Beez & Teeko have done some incredible stuff but nobody has really gone deep into programming melodies via hardware or DAW sequencer thus allowing you to cut & accent the tune as it plays back

Is there anything the Controller 1 can do that the Reloop RP-8000 mk2 can't? I'd love to see a comparison. If there are any feature differences and you brought it to people's attention, maybe it would cause Reloop to include them in their next turntable to basically re-create a modern day Controller 1.
@Swiftstyle4 жыл бұрын
Ben BamBoo I like the idea of a comparison video.
@boomieboo4 жыл бұрын
@@Swiftstyle Huge thanks if u do it! That would be sick. I just wrote to DJ Woody with the same idea. We need to resurrect the Controller 1 any way we can! Only 100 lucky bastards on the planet ever got to experience them. And that's just not enough to push the tablist game forward.
@boomieboo3 жыл бұрын
@@Swiftstyle A little update. I spoke directly to DJ Woody who worked with Vestax to help create the Controller 1s and he said the torque isn't quite there for the Reloop TTs so it's sluggish and sounds slurry on note changes. Maybe something you can look at to see if it's true if you ever do that comparison video. I also wrote to Rane to see if they have any plans on incorporating notation controls into their 12 MK2s type turns in the future but still no word back yet. I'm seeing if I can recreate the C1s notation control in some way with a combination of the S11s or Rane 72 MK2s and maybe a sampler if need be.

There is a reason no other turntable is like the technic. New turntables are cool too though. Just a little practice, but you have to admit, nothing feels like a Technic 1200/10 MKii. Nice video, and cool turntable. I would use that with my records and my control vinyl.

How does a platter damage a turntable if it is not removed? What kind of damage? I don’t think I have ever removed the platters on my 1200s. I’ve moved them plenty of times.
@Swiftstyle4 жыл бұрын
Techs are pretty stable when it comes to moving as long as they have some type of pressure holding them down. If not, I have seen a platter get loose and do damage to the top plate or even tonearm. But the way a Vestax platter connects is a bit different, It has screws and can possibly damage the motor if the weight of the platter it jumping around in a flight case. Moving it with the platter is typically how people get loose platters. It might be knit picking but one of the first things a buyer usually checks on a used table is the stability of the platter. Gig to gig it’s in your hands and you pretty much control it full time but when shipping or flying you never know when someone is gonna Ace Ventura your package lol. Hope this helps.
@williamsilver83224 жыл бұрын
Swiftstyle super helpful! Yeah, I don’t gig with them. I’ve had them for 20 years and haven’t had problems, so probably good. Good to know because I was thinking of buying PDX 2000s. Have fun with the Controller One. It looks MINT!
