i am from england think you are very lucky for living there! mardi gras, huckleberry finn, the warmth, the landscape. i love it and want to go there one day. anyway i agree this film looks great

Dynamic Bedhead Dads Army... what a disappointing movie that was. After having a holiday where most of it was filmed in and around Bridlington (which was beautiful by the way) we decided to go to the cinema to watch Dads Army when it came out. 2 hours of our lives (8 in total as there was 4 of us) and about £50 that we wont ever get back. One of the taglines was 'Feel-good comedy of the Year!' We should have sued them under the trades descriptions act on at least 3 points of that tagline.

Isabelle Drennan Glad you enjoyed Bridlington, Isabelle. If you ever find yourself on the East Yorkshire coast again, you definitely should consider visiting the beautiful towns of Hornsea, Skipsea, and Withernsea. One of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in England is located at a place called Mappleton, just south Hornsea, and Flamborough Head is home to thousands of seals. Hope you revisit us again one day soon 😊

Resident Elect i go to most of those places quite a lot i only live 30/40 minutes away in Scunthorpe so im quite lucky as i live withing an hour of a good section of east coast beaches and coastline. Was hoping to have a week or so in bridlington again this year but have been unwell, but if i feel up to it soon ill get something booked!

Isabelle Drennan That is sooooo weird... I worked in Scunny, and on the Isle of Axholme for years?! I'm literally just across the North Bank of the 'Bridge. Jeebus... I had the pleasure of sampling the Scunthorpe night life a few times... Nothing beats Britannia Corner, or Frodingham Road come Saturday evening! I spotted more "wildlife" there, than on any nature walk 😉 I kid, as Hull is just as, if not far, far worse!!

Resident Elect im from Essex originally and Scunthorpe, Hull Donny and Cleethorpes had nothing on the wildlife i witnessed in places like Romford and Barking on a night out - part of the reason i moved as i didnt want my kids growing up around where i did, i mean i love where i come from, but its not the place it was when i was younger! Scunthorpe isnt the place it was when i first moved here in terms of change, all the old nightclubs are gone (henry afrikas, garbos etc) and the Baths hall had about 30 million quid spent on it and is now a proper entertainment venue with all the top comedians, musicians and shows on all year round. And by the time they finish building the new residential areas on the outskirts, Scunthorpe will be twice the size it was 25 years ago, its constantly taking in all the smaller villages and land around it, i think the local council is trying to upgrade it from a town to a city, and i reckon given another 20 years it will be. I love it here, i wouldnt move back, especially as most of my family moved out from Essex aswell, scattered all around the UK and beyond. It comes in handy for cheap holidays lol.

Both the French film and the English one are 2018 releases- so both released at the same time. Not a re-make. And there are a few other similar movies around too !
