A first look at the Bloss Meyer Rapier. This is a steel training sword, with a spatulated tip, strong d-ring on the outside, and a slender knucklebow. This sword is designed to replicate the weapons used in Meyers fightbook, with both a safe flex and safe tip. It is recommended to add additional tip protection as per usual.
Specs of my model:
Blade 95cm
Weight 980g

@@MichaelGThomas was about Meyer rapier techniques being similar to sidesword styles taught on the continent.

@@SuperOtter13 Ah, right. It's interesting at it's very much a glimpse of the world of Bolognese fencing, mixed with dussack footwork and some of the earlier system. You're right though, it is most definitely a sidesword system and a lot of fun.

Beautiful , thank you for sharing this with us! Am I correct in thinking that Meyers rapier teaching is similar in technique to many side sword styles?

Yes, it is a form of sidesword. It also utilises much of the principles and footwork from the dussack section.

It’s not what I would have chosen. But it certainly draws attention!

That sword looks cool. The colours and striped patterns on the handle, reminds me of the colours worn by some clown court jesters, back in the old days. 0:59 to 1:16 Oh no, something tells me they might have been stolen. O.O

why didn't they had index finger rings?

That was a later development in terms of sidesword evolution.
