SYD and MACKY

Күн бұрын

This fall, we're signed up for a 100-mile mountain bike race that bills itself as the hardest single day race in America...the Marji Gesick. There's only one problem, I've never ridden 100 miles, not even on the road. So today, we're heading out for my longest ride ever. And if things go well, I might even try to break the 100-mile mark.

Both of you need to seriously consider the Butte 100 or 50. Butte, Montana end of July, and on the CDT. Ask Tinker about the race( he says its one of the most epic and hard 100s ever.. The 50 takes 4.5 Hours for the top pros, and the 100 double that plus a bit. It's on the Continental Divide Trail and the 50 is about 9K climbing and the 100 is 12 or 13K if I remember correct. Incredible race averaging 7-9K altitude band for the whole thing. Incredible, Ive done the 50 3 times. Won the Masters over 50 once and earned my Butte Copper Cup, (Thats the goal Win and earn that cup!...like the belt buckle for that Colorado race ....) you will love it!
