Time lapse of my trip to Brisbane a couple of weeks ago. This video, although having a 4K option, is actually not in 4K. However make sure to watch it in 4K as KZfaq compression might ruin this video!
*Although most parts of this journey had speed limits of 110km/h, I am not allowed to go that speed as a P2 driver.
**The Queensland part of the 110km/h limit was unclear, as there was no such law stating P2 drivers are not allowed to go 110km/h, however, I didn't want to risk getting a ticket.
This trip features the numbered routes in NSW:
M1 (Wahroonga - Beresfield)
M1 (Ballina - NSW/QLD Border)
A1 (Beresfield - Ballina)
A3 (Roselands - Pymble)
A34 (Punchbowl - Roselands)
A43 (Beresfield - Hexham)
This trip features the numbered routes in QLD:
M1 (NSW/QLD Border - Eight Mile Plains)
M3 (Eight Mile Plains - Brisbane)
State Route 22 (Kelvin Grove - Newmarket)

Outstanding video. It is nice to see all of the improvements they have made over the last few years since I last drove on the M1/A1 back in 2016.

Yep, it's actually great that the entire trip up there is now dual carriageway (except at Hexham and Coffs Harbour), and that all except Coffs Harbour has been bypassed. Bit unfortunate for the towns which probably lost business from travellers stopping over, but it does reduce travel time and increase safety!

Yeah definitely a great drive! Definitely has become a lot better to drive on nowadays considering it's now a dual carriageway in both directions.

Hey guys, if any part of this video is too fast for you (after all it is sped up 20x), feel free to adjust the playback speed to 0.5x or 0.75x. I've also uploaded footage sped up only by 10x during the Sydney-Newcastle part where I took pretty much the same route until the M1/A15 Interchange which you can watch here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bt6irLqozKmzeo0.html Alternatively you can speed up the footage to 2x if 33 minutes is too long for you.

So the fuel consumption is around 7 L for 100 km, don't get me wrong it's a CRV?

Yeah that car can travel quite far on one tank, however only in constant high speed highway conditions, it's actually terrible in urban areas. One tank is also 70L.

Wow I can't believe how much the Pacific highway has changed. I haven't driven it for 20 plus years and the last time I was on it, it was a single lane pothole goat track running through every little town along the way. Can imagine what it would be like when and if they by pass Coffs Harbour.

It is definitely a lot faster than how it used to be... back in the day the New England Highway was actually faster than the Pacific Highway! (Not that I am old enough to remember haha)

Cool video! The legend in the left hand corner that annotates the location and speed limit is a really neat addition,, does that populate automatically based on the GPS data or it's manually added?

Thank you so much! It's manually added, although I am thinking of developing a way to automatically add it in (especially since my newer videos have way more information than this video) by reading the coordinate information on the video, and then using some sort of framework (if there is one) to implement it into premiere. It will definitely save me a lot of time!

Will probably be done sometime this year when I do a Sydney to Adelaide trip via the Barrier Highway (that is, if I can figure out a framework to add in all of my GUI)
