We were in Sik, Kedah for a short trip. We stayed at Seri Ternas resort in Tasik Beris, 14km from Sik town. We didn't know that the restaurant at our resort closed at 7pm. So, we had to drive to town to get dinner. Upon recommendation from a supermarket cashier, we went to Syed Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah at Sik food court for dinner..

Memang sedap bro. Saya makan dua bungkus malam tu 😄. Kuah dia memang menyelerakan, ayam berempah pun cooked to perfection. Harga pun berpatutan. Nasi ayam walaupun malam tu dah habis, tapi dijual harga rm6.

Sambal pedas dia memang favourite. Sesuai utk kaki makan pedas.

Oh yes, definitely. The kuah is bit different than the usual kuah nasi kukus ayam berempah which is usually light brown/orangish like kari. Here they mix the kuah hitam (and kuah kari) which I believe is what makes it more savoury in taste. Luckily I asked a local for recommendation.
