Like most celebs Sly will sign autographs for "genuine" fans. But these guys who stake out airports and celeb haunts in order to get autographs and sell them straight on ebay are parasites. I saw him up close when he was opening planet Hollywood in Dublin in the 1990's. He talked with lots of the people and took photos and signed pieces of paper etc - but he was very reluctant to sign what appeared to him to be stuff that the person was going to sell or trade.

he's not being a jerk, these people stalk him at an airport, he's tired and wants to get home, if he signs 1 he has to sign all of them, true loyal fans don't stalk the airports waiting for them, these jerks want it just so they can put it up on eBay and get money for it.

Celebrities will ALWAYS stop for actual fans who just want one autograph or a photo. Autograph dealers will literally pull out 50+ photos per person in a crowd of 15 dealers and it becomes mentally exhausting. Eventually, celebrities will only sign for true fans, and at red carpet events when they have to. Can’t blame them thanks to eBay. Leave Sly alone

I guess in a way he would start out at $500 minimum because he doesn't want you to have something for nothing. Kinda like a piece of the pie. If you want his autograph and intend on selling it. Most likely you'll either break even from it, lose out on half, or profit just a little. Like teaching you a life lesson on profiting from someones second hand. If you want the autograph, you gotta keep it for 25 or more years then sell it. But more than likely it would be more respectful to keep it at least until you the one who got the autograph is dead. Then your kids or whoever can sell it if they choose.
