This feature is every sporty drivers dream. I mean i have no problems matching revs myself and heel-toe-ing while braking but this has to be so much fun.
@basseazdi3 жыл бұрын
why is heeltoeing so hard tho
@OGMENDOZA66111 жыл бұрын
but i like it when the car punches the back of my head
@Jurgonkitfok15 жыл бұрын
im impressed it actually tells u what gear ur in also on the dash, thats neat!
@unverbraucht1113 жыл бұрын
this is definetely the clearest explanation behind it. i thought it would just kick it to where it needed to be and that's it, but that's cool that it'll hold the rpm there
@Sugarkryptonite13 жыл бұрын
Nice. Even though I can heel toe I would still be using this and downshifting at every stop sign lol!
@OctoCroc15 жыл бұрын
thanks for the vid :P helps explain the syncro rev match well
@AliGhanizad14 жыл бұрын
damn, i only knew that like it helps with smoother downshifts but didnt know that like if u even hold d clutch, it will still keep the revs high. Awesome, thanx for the video and great car.
@StormAutoAdventures13 жыл бұрын
@uswg01 Yeah, you do have to turn it off if you don't want it on when you start the car but, it's only a button on the center console you have to push once. It's easier than using a turn signal.
@Purepromedia13 жыл бұрын
@DJG37S You have to enable it via Smode if you guys actually watched the video
@corybrott84555 жыл бұрын
so your saying, if im in 4, taking a corner, i can press the clutch in to go to third, and then let the clutch out without putting my foot on the gas while braking
@gurjindersingh61594 жыл бұрын
Cory Brott yes sir
@KrazyRuski12 жыл бұрын
So this pretty much eliminates the need for heel-toe shifting?

0:06 when he started the steering wheel moved electrically.....mine doesn't do that, does all models from 09 to 20 have it?

Hi, How good is the system when upshifting? Every so often when driving hard I get this really nasty shift shock (mainly happens when I lift my foot off the clutch too fast) which obviously can't be good for the transmission. Does the SynchroRev eliminate/lessen shift shock? Can you shift as fast as you want with the system working out the balance between clutch and throttle? Thanks in advance.
@walther8912 жыл бұрын
thats amazing
@StormAutoAdventures15 жыл бұрын
That's why you can turn it off. That would suck if you couldn't shut it off. What an awesome feature this is. I hope every manual transmission eventually has this feature. Again, only if you have the option of shutting it off when you wan't to like this car.
@faYte060713 жыл бұрын
what happens if you want to downshift 2 gears, for example, from 4th to 2nd? would it still be perfect rev match?
@scubbipower0713 жыл бұрын
thats tight so it helps u down shift and not harm the clutch at all!!!!!!
@TheZeedrifter12 жыл бұрын
@cjsph88 the hardest part of standard(manual) transmissions is take off/ actually moving froward
@TonyTube4079 жыл бұрын
I didn't realize it kept the revs during upshifts as well.
@halo3pownage11 жыл бұрын
that works, i have done sixth to second before as well
@leadnitro313 жыл бұрын
@colestevens if you dont use the clutch you cant shift at all
@punk8612 жыл бұрын
You do realise it can be enable and disabled, right? Only time I'd use it is when I'm really really lazy.
@LoveLikeaHurricane7 жыл бұрын
even though I don't do it, what would happen if you skipped gears with this system on?
@xXLeAkErXx7 жыл бұрын
why wouldn't you do it? It would be smoother with the SRM on.
@Anoush1313 жыл бұрын
So it basically makes the downshifts smoother, instead of feeling the car slightly slow when you release the clutch.
@spxo13 жыл бұрын
hey i hear there are problems with the fuel gauge and how it doesn't ever go empty haha. is this true? how do you know when to fuel, if this statement holds true?
@i_dodge_trees13 жыл бұрын
so with this system you could pretty much drive around without the clutch and not burn the syncros out because it just rev matches all shifts for you?
@streetracervti14 жыл бұрын
i have 46 size foot (euro nrs) and hell i cant heal toe. this is awesome!!!

so what happens when you decide to let the car roll? say your rolling at 70mph and you slip into N and you let roll then so you decide to speed back up with lets say 4th will the throttle get blipped in N or only when it senses your going into 4th gear??? i really want to buy a new car my choice is WRX STI or Nismo 370Z but i still want to do more research.

It'll probably be fine as long as it doesn't redline

Wow must be amazing for you MT drivers... Looks just like my 5AT when i downshift... I plan on getting the 370 in stick in another year or so. Looks like drivin manual again will be little harder to fuck up.

@Reverendwyotech It's called turning it off.
@jylon4299040013 жыл бұрын
thats pretty cool id have to say. but im still glad i learned the hard way. takes the experience of learning how to heal toe if it does it for you :/
@basseazdi3 жыл бұрын
it also fixes human error and makes cornering better
@TheZeedrifter12 жыл бұрын
i have that in my nissan 300zx, its called mahrighfoot, and it always matches gears perfectly =-p, im getting a z34 and ill use this in traffic..
@DJG37S13 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong its a great feature to have but it makes driving a m/t not as fun. I love rev matching on my G37 and heal-toeing also. I would also like to have this on my infiniti but yeah than again I know I would get lazy shifting if I got it. =P.
@xmodrock13 жыл бұрын
good video but hate the feature.. whats the point of driving a manual if the car starts doin the work for you? part of the fun is to learn your car.. and be one with it
@ninjamoto2111 жыл бұрын
forgive me for this dumbass question but is there any reasons for having this option?
@DJG37S13 жыл бұрын
@Purepromedia Yeah I know that if you read my post. I synco rematch makes driving not as fun.
@boobie28411 жыл бұрын
so when the brakes actually fail, can you turn it off immediately so that you can engine break your way to a slow stop??? lol!?
@lars4u27 жыл бұрын
....Really? This system works when you press the Clutch Pedal...!!!! I can't even think how stupid someone has to be to ask the question if this system has to be shut off in case you want to use the "engine brake" is it really necessary to tell you that you have to be in a gear to slow down with the help of your engine!??? Maybe those are the guys who think a "weird good" make the world in seven days 😜🙄🙃
@WyldBill3412 жыл бұрын
if i buy this car that feature will always be turned off
@psycheevolved14284 жыл бұрын
Good for the rain but the shifting sounds horrible with it on. for normal driving you want that off, it will cause you to lose the fun
@mannydatt12 жыл бұрын
@z33freak Just another way in which applicable driver skill is being taken away and assigned to a computer... kudos to the men who buy their Z without SRM.
@halo3pownage11 жыл бұрын
while true, it does make you forget how to downshift properly in a manual car without this feature, being so used to the synchrorev match system on my 370z, i actually cant downshift as well as i use to with a regular manual dont get me wrong, i love the system, but its something people shouldnt get use to
@jaysmith60137 жыл бұрын

***** The appropriate use of the word "roughly" is when data is lacking precision, therefore approximating 99.97% to 100% which makes your statement invalid and you, an idiot.
@nickbrutanna99738 жыл бұрын
Based on the fact that your stat is off by a factor of 100, well, it's a pretty good sign your cranium is inserted in your rectum. American manual ownership was as low as 3% (i.e., 100x your made up bovine excreta) but its climbed as high as 6% in the last couple of years. The only car for which you NEED a manual is a sports car. And "muscle cars" aren't sports cars, so 3-6%... sounds about right.

Nick Brutanna when you said manual, I hope you don't mean only stick shift... auto Z's come manual too lol with even more gears
@myvishan10 жыл бұрын
Duuuuude YOU SHOULD HAVE DOWNSHIFTED to demonstrate this:(( it was purpously built to help you downshift better...because it is sometimes hard to rev-match downshifting . I personally find it hard on diesel cars, on gasoline i have no problems syncing my revs:)
@TheBigChad8 жыл бұрын
How is it hard on diesel? It's literally the same thing... They don't rev any different than gasoline cars.
@myvishan8 жыл бұрын
I know that, it's just that i don't quite seem to exactly match the revs. I'm always a little short and the car does that weight movement, tipically. I don't heave a real explanation, maybe I'm to used to gasoline which requires a little more revving. Or maybe is just the position of the pedals of the diesel cars i've driven until now.
@sexy350Zowner12 жыл бұрын
I rather do it myself and heel and toe than having a computer do it for me
@ryanw1284ryansrants6 жыл бұрын
Wow. all these features just remove peoples ability to drive manual. I feel for the next manual this guy drives that DOESN'T have this feature LOL.
