This build was said to be shadow nerfed in the new elden ring update. Im here to show you that the impenetrable thorns spell is just as strong as before but ive made it even stronger now with a few honest buffs like white mask, lord of blood talisman, and the NEW sacred bloody flesh buff. This build gains additional buffs from our gear like white mask, the rakshasa set, staff of the guilty, and seppuku! Utilizing the maternal staff arcane scaling, we can achieve over 1,000 bleed buildup and upwards of 50,000 damage from our spell impenetrable thorns! Edit: You can use alberiches set if you want, i didnt because i also included a weapon 9:30 alberiches set only provides a buff for the spell and only on the head chest and hands, no buff from his pants. so you would only want to use the chest or hands here. i just prefer rakshasa for an overall damage buff and better armor stats but yeah use whatever you want lol

@@nxvh9062 Agreed. 150 is stupid. My NG+5 FTH/STR char (pre dlc) is level 360 and my my NG+2 DEX/ARC char (that I started dlc with on NG+2) is level 240 and counting. Probably 250 by the time I am on NG+3. I have multiple characters that are around level 150 but I am not even done with NG on them. 150 is too low, it should be minimum 250.

I'm confident that this will be safe the only reason perfume got nerfed is cuz the glitch where you aim it at the ground. Impenetrable thorns is powerful but only when player use all the right talismans and stats and armor to make it so. Nothing with the spells itself

Glad to see the Blacksteel Twinblade getting love, not enough people talk about it which is a damn shame. It reminds me of pre-nerf Backhand Blades, those guys could also insta-bleed with their running R2's while being faster. But the Twinblade is a welcome replacement.

Any advice on an INT-ARC spellblade/halfcaster? My read so far has been to only hit stat minimums for FAI and INT then just pile into dex & arc, as the current infusions make INT-ARC melee a nightmare.

Jellyfish Shield buff in left hand I find is about equal or better than having the thorn staff in the left hand. It increases all damage by 20% for 30 seconds. I never do seppuku or sacred bloody flesh. I only use white mask, the blood talisman, spell talisman, golden vow, and jellyfish shield buff.

I’m so glad I beat the final boss pre-patch with rolling sparks. Because I was not beating him. He was too ridiculous. I may not have beat grayle or anything. But I’m not going back. Especially since I already seen spoilers and the fights. And I explored and got every map location so I’m good.

used a slightly different version of this on the final boss yesterday, stats were different so I could still use the black knight shield and elden beasts sword because it's aow does a lot of damage to him in the first phase, ca. 3-5K per hit. The boss was still the hardest I've ever fought, impossible without a shield, took me 5 hours trying anything out and then another 3 to finally kill him with the thorns and the sword. so thanks. Im never gonna fight him again lmao. its like he's on NG+7 even though I had all 50 scadu fragments and the highest possible resistances, still one or two shot me. Before the update he felt much easier for some reason, almost had him on my 3rd attempt, did they nerf everything else but buff him or was he somehow bugged for me ...?

good video pretty sure alberich's set wiht white mask is a better dps then the new set it boost thorn sorecy and should be around 18% more dmg compared to rakshasa set

alberich set works but the pants dont give the buff, only the chest and gauntlets would be useable here, i prefered rakshasa since i also included a weapon not just the sorcery @ 9:30

05:22 wow, so surprised fextralife doesn't have the information /s More interesting to see that you and that waifu YT channel tackle this spell totally different. And she also released it at more or less the same time :P I did try your version of the older build, and just ran around killing mobs mostly with it (I can't find any more bosses, and I havent even beaten the game..big L) and I was kinda underwhelmed, but it obviously is WAY more potent against bosses or bigger enemies as shown on your videos and waifu video. Unsure if I have another respec in me xD but maybe :P Didn't get to try the rolling spark lightning bottle at all before the nerf, so using something utterly broken before its nerfed would be fun!

So is it just me or did they also take bosses out of the base game. I could be wrong but i feel like things that used to be bosses are no longer bosses but buffed up enemies. The two i noticed are the gargoyle outside of beast sanctum and the tree avatar before avenue site of grace. Have i been gone to long that i forgot or what im so lost someone help please😊

It would probably be best if you level up mind and endurance then arcane for more bleed then intelligence for more damage.

It's interesting that this spell seems to deal magic damage since regular magic seems to do jack diddly squat to most of the bosses. Maybe the damage output is just THAT high?

Gonna try this build, any other recomendations for a lvl 713 like spells or more weapons for long range?

You're level 713. Just use what you want. You'll deal a lot of damage regardless. The best staff at 80/80+ INT/FTH is the Prince of Death's staff, as far as I'm aware. Last I checked, it gets up to 430+ spell buff. In terms of spells, Night Comet is a top pick. Enemies won't dodge it, and it deals great damage. Another good pick is Magic Glintblade, a very spamable spell, and since it is delayed, enemies will dodge when you cast it and still get hit by the spell. As for other spells I'd say the finger sorceries might be worth looking into, I hear they're good. And if you do use them (I'm not totally sure) but the Maternal staff he uses in the video might be better than the PoD's staff as it boosts finger sorceries, but you'd have to test it. Night Maiden's mist is always fun. Oh, I almost forgot! Carian Slicer is one of the best sorceries for CQC, always nice to have that. Gavel of Haima is good too. Anyway, this has gotten long enough but as you can see there are PLENTY of great sorceries. Just pick your favorites and be on your way.

Yeah when I start DLC I used my mage build with dual staff of loss night comet and some enemies were more tank like small enemies took 2 shots to die instead of 1 like I was used too 😂

Im lvl 270 with your same stats and gear yet dont do nearly as much damage as you. Perhaps i gotta switch staffs from mainhand to offhand or something?
