Thank you for sharing your perspective! The windpipe choke is quite dangerous and can injure your throat, but usually you can last much longer against the windpipe choke rather than against the blood choke! When you bring your elbow under your chin, you secure his arm over your arteries. DON't do it man!!!! Don't volunteer for a BLOOD CHOKE! And as someone gets you in a choke, it is quite likely that he will unbalance you in the same time, get his hooks in and finish you on the ground. You need to turn towards him with counterattacks in a split second, or throw him, yes, but go lower than you show in this video...Systema is nice... but in this case, practice immediate response against a wild beast with the intention to take your head off.

A rear naked choke usually blacks out people through lack of blood to the brain. Getting your chin in front of the blade of the arm reduces the power and tightness of the choke. However, I do agree with you that being taken down to the ground and losing your back is very bad. This video showed defense while standing, so I wonder if they will do one for rolling combat.

I love these videos and watch many of them. It is much like Krav Maga which is what I train in. Krav has a few defenses to get out these types of chokes and headlocks as well. I think these two styles of fighting blend very well together. I would like to try their defenses with a partner because they don't seem as effective as Krav's techniques but nonetheless, these guys still have awesome stuff from their other videos.

This is not the Rear Naked Choke. The RNC uses the forearm and bicep to compress the artery's supplying blood to the brain. The Bar Arm Choke shown in this video is using the forearm to compress the wind pipe cutting off the supply of oxygen to the body.

You can also step forward to use your weight, then pass a leg under the other, and then spin your body to throw him, and the guy will hit the ground very hard. ^^ Nice video, keep doing this ! За спецназа ! ;)

Joe Blow In the ring I have had no practical experience yet but on the street. You don't know how easy a neck can break. If he has your neck this way you may never throw because if he holds on, your neck may twist or if you are lucky and it doesn't, he still chokes you. And for the one who says that: My sifu is pretty good in quite a few martial arts.

TheSanAnt0ni0 Yes. 1.He isn't choking very effective. 2.After the throw on the ground the attacker is still in the choke. In the video he just releases him after the throw.

лепо, школски... за широке народне масе које се ложе на "технике" ... Али... недостаје приказ примене у случају кад нападач није "лутка" већ кад приказани напад изведе са намером да докрајчи жртву. Да ли ће и тада приказана техника бити употребљива?

That would never work on an experienced jiu-jitsu guy. Especially if the hooks are in.
@savagecub

Jui-jitsu doesn’t work if I can reach your little finger - reason it’s the weakest finger and can very easily be bent backwards. Try it on yourself. Once I break your little finger you’re not gonna want to grapple with me anymore.

This won't work. 1. If he chokes you with the flat side of his arm you are lucky because he only chokes your windpipe. If he chokes you with the elbow he cuts of your blood flow in 3-5 secs (if he does it right). So NEVER go in his elbow like it's shown in the video. 2. The technique shown in the video will only work if the attacker cooperates.

C. Kyle when you pull your chin down it weakens the grip. Pulling your hips around accomplishes the same as pulling the chin down

Some Black Dude Bullshit. Have you ever been choked by someon who can do it right? I have. Pulling the chin down won't do shit. Pulling your hips around could work but only if he strangles you with the arm and not the elbow.
@Momsspaghetti777
@Momsspaghetti777 6 жыл бұрын
C. Kyle yes I have, I do jiujitsu it’s my go to move. It creates space and the blood choke becomes weak. You can’t do a rear naked choke on yourself obviously but collar choke yourself with your shirt right now. Notice how you start feeling light headed almost immediately, try that through the chin and the pressure is relieved. Have you ever attempted to defend a blood choke style RNC with the chin in?

Some Black Dude My sifu regularly teaches different anti terror forces in choke techniques and if he chojes me in training he doesn't go full force but even then, pulling the chin down doesn't help.

Zak ARIA I think you mean tai chi. Wing chun is practiced by numerous special forces and anti-terror forces. Also it's pretty good for selfdefence as a smaller, weaker person can defeat a much bigger opponent.

How does everyone know so much about this shit? It’s a lot of keyboard warrior it seems. It may not be the most affective but 1. It’s still used by spec ops and stuff and 2. Yeah it won’t work if you and ur friend wanna disprove it and do it once. That’s like saying oh a left high kick won’t knock anyone out just because you can’t. People who’ve mastered it and have seriously practiced it can work.

The comments on this crack me up... When people practice this move in a real life situation...the entire dynamic has changed as the perp has no idea of the capacities of his victim are. In reality with 2 advanced practitioners knowing each others ability levels..and whats coming, the preparation and entire psychology of the movement has changed. along with biomechanics. Yes im sure spetznaz military foces...paramilitary forces...counter terrorism schools would waste time teaching useless garbage....wonder how clean a choke hold is going to be when someone really doesnt want to be in one and is at least partially ready or has that split second to not allow a perfectly clean one.
