Something positive for me: Weakpoints, that are actually where you expect them, when looking at the armour-model. Nice! The gaps in the front-spaced-protection, the cupolas, the front when the tank is angled you shoot beside the spaced armour ... I like that.

Totally fine to update before release. Years ago they never even had cc playing the tanks ahead of time and they would give a tank review a few days after release.

Just FYI, the ground resistances on the T 54D are *identical* to those of the T 55A. So it's not really that Wargaming set them that way to make up for the awful power/weight ratio, it's just that they used the T 55A as the starting point for this tank and never changed the ground resistance.

Why? Just dont use your wallet and enjoy the game. How does it really affects u that others pay for the game u like to play? I dont get it. I dont really care, I just pass. WG wants to make money like any other company. Do I care? No. Why should I? I pay for what I want to. If I dont I just pass, but I am happy that others do pay and keep the game alive for me as well...

It is interesting to see, that QB pretty much always picks a field mod. I think not choosing a field mod sometimes is also a valid choice, as it keeps that aspect balanced.

I found that it worked great with a turbo, vents and a rammer, keeping moving made the armour really work well, I just wish there was a decent tech tree tank with the same crew loadout.

Maybe "Experimental Turbo", so you get a measure of gun handling along with the speed boost?

I really want to use the speed slot in the equipment tho. Perfect for a regular turbo. Maybe turbo, Vents Stabs? I know no rammer sounds horrible, but meh.

My Indien panzer crew works for this tank, it’s what I’ve been using anyway, and so far have loved it, it’s great as a support medium for being a bullet sponge so you’re team can dish out the faster shots while you bounce the enemies

There will be 500 of these on day 1 and within a week you'll randomly see 1 in a battle every so often, just like most other "Focus" tanks they put in the loot boxes. I won't be buying any more of those boxes till they let you decide which tank of the lineup you wish to receive each time the win comes up.

when one can afford it, experimental survival and fire control are valid options too. Survival for added hit points and the buff to modul HP like fuel tank and ammo rack as well as tracks. Fire control system gives you the vert stabs and the gun laying drive to reduce bloom on movement and lowering the aim time significantly. 3 slot maybe vents is the way to go for mor overall improvement. also you can avoid to choose the 9th field mod to not have a bad effect on speed or viewrange

Technically, this is a 1992 proposal for upgrading old T-54s and T-55s. In theory, yes it could have been done with all those T-54s and T-55s that unified Germany had just inherited, but it was really meant as an export offer for third-world nations that had Soviet tanks and couldn't afford brand-new replacements.

I don't think this tank is crazy OP, but it does make me wonder if we're starting to see a shift from bad tier 9 premiums to now competitive, to eventually OP like what we saw with tier 8 premiums. I'd hate for tier 9 to have OP premiums that rivaled tier 10 vehicles like how some of the tier 8 premiums rival some tier 9 vehicles.

Eventough i play on console and not on pc. I really like your content and find it very useful even with the differences between the games. By the way thanks to you i researched the Maus and even on console its amazing. It even replaced my Is-4 as my favorite tank! When using its armor the correct way it really is a fortress on track’s with a very good gun!

First battle is 15:0... And anybody not talking the MM problem, the 15:0-3 battles... Especially the CCs don't talk about it. Because it's good for them. They make a lot of money from wg, youtube, twitch and they don't want to spoil that. It's such a shame!

I heard from a WG employee a while ago. Apparently, the dispersion values seen in this video are FINAL 😬 (for now) and the update was to fix a bug where the tank wasn't showing up as a premium.

QB: So overall this tank is amazing against tier 7 and tier 8 vehicles. So basically the same as with any other tier 9 tanks with some semblance of armor

Just to note, the 54d was released as a reward tank, not a premium today (14th). Then it was patched in the afternoon to earn like a premium t9, but it will now SHOW as a premium until another patch tomorrow.

QB please for once drop the vents man! On a tank like this vstabs would be so much more useful for quickly getting shots in and not having to expose yourself as much especially on these closer range maps where view range and cammo aren't important.

Don't sidescrape, you will reveal through track weakpoint, if you just peek normaly you won't reveal any weakpoint with the angle since your track is following the side of the building and other track is behind your front.

So this tank takes another build very well: Experimental turbo T3 preferably, Experimental hp T3 and bond/bounty v-stab. You'll end up having ~420ish view and 2300 dpm but you don't have to aim as long as you'll have 31%+ reduced dispersion on the move (I'd spend 10k a match for the smooth ride directive too, for another 5% boost). Other than that, you'll end up having more internal module hitpoints which helps it's rather weak fuel tanks and ammo rack.

You have to gamble with real money to get it now. So I won't be able to get it for a couple years - because I'm not a sucker. I would run vents, turbo, and experimental engine level 3 - to really beef up the speed. Would not bother with multiple builds. It's solid stock, and the small benefits aren't worth the small reductions.

This is actually a 1992 upgrade package for the T-54 proposed by Blohm & Voss, so the West German (or more actually, unified Germany) emblem makes complete sense. (I think that means this is the most modern vehicle in World of Tanks, BTW.)

150 boxes to get all tanks except forest spirit, amx 30 and char mle. Friend got super lucky and got in 50 boxes: Forest spirit, Emil, K2 and Amx 30. That makes it 10 EUR per tank. Lucky shot there. Ah he also got arround 100k free xp aswell.

Micropatch 1.24_2 release note 14 March 2024: "The T 54D has been assigned Premium status, meaning it now earns additional credits and XP, and can also earn bonds. It will be visually indicated as a Premium vehicle in game interfaces later. All players who received the vehicle before the patch release will receive 100 bonds, 300,000 credits, and 2 Personal Reserves for +300% to Free and Crew XP for 1 hour as compensation after server maintenance is complete."

I believe it is because you still get something of value from the boxes. Its not 'all or nothing' like true gambling. You cant really "lose" anything.

Having played a few of them now in your standard tech tree tier 9 medium tanks, these guys are the BZ, of the medium, tier 9 line... Yes, there are gaps in armour. Try hitting them while they are moving back and forwards. Try exposing your tech tree medium to get into a position to get to those gaps. Pay to win at its best.
