I love my 68 torino. Wish I could find another.

Made this 68 year old feel good seeing this car run. I had a red 68 with 390 in it when in High School back in 72. 427 side oiler ,dual quad ,4 bolt mains ,solid lifter cam sitting in the garage but it never made it into the car. Sold it to a dirt track racer. I thought, Ah, I will get another one later. Got married instead...

Reminds me of my fun time putting syncros in my Trans!! I just made my own aluminum 3" exhaust and my own mufflers wich i should of put more baffles in, i made a vid to show it & first time welding too Great runs tho at drags even tho u said u stunk it up!!!

you might want to try a different slick and tire compound, a stick car needs a small bit of wheel spin so it won't bog down, because you are hitting the tires so hard. just hope it might help. thanks for the video and keep banging gears

Can you explain shimming the clutch? Was it not in spec? Are you trying to soften / slip it?

Wouldn't it be better to leave at say 5000 rpm, right where the torque curve starts ?
