M.v.g Marcel

Beste Marcel, eerst moest ik even heel hard lachen..

Nice power supply and battery tester. I have the smaller ATORCH 180 Watt DL24P with updated BT. I also purchased an AA adapter for AAA batteries to fit the battery box. Very accurate device.

Yes i love the tester option, and indeed with the battery adapter very easy to test and verify capacity

Hi Tony, this module system looks very good and is reasonably priced too, special battery testers are very expensive. I especially like the size, when I bought an electronic load (it has a special program for testing batteries) I had to take a smaller power because the 600W and 1200W was almost 60cm deep and it wouldn't fit anywhere in my miniaturized workshop (my 300W / 60A is 45cm) You made beautiful cables for connecting large loads, I have them made in PVC and it's terribly inflexible, because I don't use them much, so I haven't dealt with silicone yet. You have very nice equipment👍 Nice day 🙂 Tom

Hi Tom, Thank you! .. Yes i love the new cables. this load is not very deep indeed, but my Korad 1200W is indeed that large as you menstion. Stay safe!

Nice product Tony and very capable. It certainly put your 40 AMP PSU through its paces . The price point is also very reasonable and with updatable firmware what more could you ask for. Very well detailed video with very comprehensive testing Tony.

Thank you Ian, yes first of all my lazy nature :) picked this pre-build kit... the DL24 was already good, and i wanted in a housing... than i realized adding 10 or 20 bucks.. i got 600 Watts added too .. check in the box! thanks for watching it full as i value your opinion a lot .

@TonyAlbus Time is valuable to all us and I for one would have opted for the prebuilt option as well.

Thanks! .. i was a but surprized myself to be honest. i just wanted a nice boxed battery tester without lose wires:) Then for just 10 or 20 dollars extra for the extra modules it is actualy a proper load..

Hi Tony! Did you try the Battery Resistance Test? I have the same Atorch but couldn't figure out how it works... Not explained at the manual. Thx!
@TonyAlbus

Hi Cherar! What i noticed, that during the battery capacity testing, the resistor value is updated. i seems to do this during the test.

Hey Tony, couple questions. Is it possible to draw over 600 using this unit? Ive seen mentioned in a couple places that these devices often will let you permitting it doesnt get too hot. Have you found it fine for smaller stuff like 18650s, NiMH AAAs etc. More so concerned it might nit be fine enough data wise. How have you found the PC software. I have seen some reveiws state its very buggy and is not usable. Do you use the sense wires at all/ are they necessary? Edit: Are you able to do 40a at 3.7v? I ask because I have some battery modules that do 100a max discharge and would like to be able to do the full 40A in these situations. I appreciate your response as your obviously a very knowledgeable person. Looking at this for my first load tester to do battery modules and my smaller battery's, 18650, 26800, 21700 etc. Thankyou!

Hi, it is a modular system, maybe if you tell it with the jumper it is a 1200 WATT version and set it in the menu too. that is will maybe let you do more. but yes indeed the temprature will be a issue if you go to much above, it will just switchoff if it gets too hot. most of my testing i did with the DL24 and that one was great for lower voltages and batteries, so i expect this one too. the PC software i do not use to much. when i do discharge test on small batteries i just wait the result on the display and i can switch off the whole lab expect for the DL24 ..

Hey Tony, do you know what size the fans are? And what do thermals internally look like under full 40A? Seen a couple reports it gets so toasty some components will de solder from prolonged periods? About to buy one and would like these final questions answered. I appreciate the videos you do!
@TonyAlbus

Hi John, it looks reasonable inside, you get a lot for this price. would i trust it to run 40A a long time, a simple NO. But when do you need that, and if you need it you prob want something bigger like the KEL2040, that i trust to run 40A a long time... you simply get what you pay for. and for this price it is very nice.

@@TonyAlbus Guess I'll have to pick one up, find sometimes to charge at 40a, and keep the thermal camera on it out of sheer curiosity. For the money it's definitely hard to beat for a starting unit and for general testing!

Своевременный обзор. Очень благодарен👍. Тоже присматриваюсь к этому прибору. Какое у вас мнение о приборе EBC - A10H?
@TonyAlbus
@TonyAlbus 4 ай бұрын
Thank you for putting that to my attention, the EBC-A10H looks really nice! The display looks a bit simple, but looking at the specifications, it will do the job for sure. and extra the EDC-A10H can charge too.

You can easily tell in which country the firmware was designed by the desire to use every single color that the display could provide without any reason or logic ;)
