It sounds like he has some pretty severe mental health issues too tho. Ik he was “deemed fit to stand trial” or whatever, but I can’t help but feel a bit bad for the guy. Obv DV isn’t okay, but I wish the goal of the legal system was rehabilitation. I doubt he’s gonna get the help he needs in prison :’(

@@deeeno6867 Oh for sure, Prison doesnt rehabilitate, it just makes things worse by scaring prisoners into becoming passive. I doubt he'll ever get the help he needs and it really sucks to see. what he did was horrible but he clearly needed help

^^couldn’t agree more with these two comments. as an outsider looking in, america’s utter lack of care for enacting change in their prison system is so upsetting. but it makes sense when you realize that it’s a for-profit industry that abuses the loophole in the 13th amendment allowing for prison labour (which *_is_* a form of slavery btw) and american companies like walmart and mcdonalds looove using prison labour

this podcast is just hangin with kurtis for 45 minutes to an hour. i dont know how to say this in a way that doesn't sound sarcastic, but i promise it's not, i love that you leave in so much silence instead of trying way too hard to fill every split second with something entertaining. it just makes it more chill and keeps it from being overstimulating.

With cows, a lot of cattle farms use an animal safe chalk/paint for their dry cows, so that’s probably what he used on the proposal cow. The cow in the picture is a milking breed, not a meat breed so they probably won’t be eating her after, ha. The family of the guy who tackled the judge said he struggles with bipolar and severe depression, and I agree with them when they said that jail will not help him. Our jail/prison system has so little to do with "rehabilitation" it's ridiculous.

okay but wasn’t he arrested for domestic abuse or assault or battery or something? Also as a person who suffers from a lot of severe mental illness that is never an excuse to attack someone. Sure he wouldn’t have gotten help and our prison system IS fucked, but like that doesn’t mean all mentally ill people should be able to avoid prison just because they’re ill y’know

I don't know if this is totally true but I read somewhere that the guy who tackled the judge is like, bipolar and schizophrenic and had been taken off of his medication since being arrested. Obviously the situation is wild and the optics of the scene are kinda funny but like bro's mental health is clearly not at 100

Yeah public proposals mainly for internet clout is such an empty gesture. My fiance proposed to me on new years last month and it was just the two of us and it was so heartfelt and romantic. A proposal should feel special and meaningful, I mean it’s literally saying “let’s spend the rest of our lives together.” That being said, if a public proposal is okay with you and your partner, then by all means go for it!

My poor mother had the LEAST exciting proposal imaginable… my parents were at a restaurant and my dad slid the closed ringbox across the table suddenly. He didnt pop the big question. My mom opened it and was like “were you gonna ask me something?” And he went “oh right,” and asked. Didnt get on one knee or nothing. Said “bad knees”. They have been married 14 years. (Its not going well, shocker)

15:25 I always say my thoughts out loud and then Kurty boy says something similar right after, this happens with my other fav KZfaqrs 😊 he said 2003 and I went ‘I was born that year!’ And then he started to think about us being 20-21 yo. Then I started freaking out that I’m gonna be 21 soon. But I have been listening to every episode of the pod and every video on both channels of yours for atleast 5 years. I've listened to this podcast both times I've gone to the dentist to get fillings and when I'm there for that I get nitrous (medical anxiety lol) so both times it's been like an hour of me feeling floaty and listening to very really good.
