As we are only a few weeks away from the one year anniversary of my first video and 'Rig Walkaround' I wanted to to take the time to make a revised walkaround of the build before this summers adventures. Most of the truck remained the same over the last year with some substantial additions. Hopefully this is the year the truck reaches its final form. We shall see! Really love the way your Tacoma looks. I was wondering what Icon stage lift are you running? I have a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 Double Cab in Quicksand as well and love it. I have yet to do any modifications the only thing I have done is tires I am running Falken AT3W’s in the stock size and have the black out emblems from Toyota other than that it’s completely stock. But I still take it off-road regularly and have been surprised on how well it does and where I can go. I just air down with my ARB tire deflators to 20 psi before hitting the trails and use my smittybilt air compressor to fill them back up after. Both were from my old Jeep Cherokee that I saved in case I got another Off road vehicle.

They are very capable I kept mine stock for over a year and half when I first got it in 2018. The Icon kit is a stage 10 but I have the SPC UCAs and the shocks are non-adjustable. I think those are the only changes OH and the 700lbs coil springs.

@@quicksendtaco Thank you for letting me know about the Icon lift stage, I had mine for around a year and half already. I have been trying to decide whether to go with Dobinsons MRR’s or and Icon lift for the future. Also want to go with the SPC UCA’s for the extra adjustment when I do get whichever kit I decide to go with.

@@diruelas Icon is just what I always wanted to run and when I could afford them I pulled the trigger. Dobinsons has been proving themselves though!

@@quicksendtaco I was also looking at Kings 2.5” extended travel with adjusters. But I am still not sure. I guess time will tell. I will say that you’re build is awesome and I really like the content your putting out, I subscribed by the way. Take care.

@@diruelas I love to hear it, thank you! Yeah Kings are GOALS but they are pricey. But also may as well go all out on the best set of Kings if you do. Kings are also progressive Icons are digressive. SO it's gonna be personal preference.

Thank you! It doesn't lean, no. But you do feel the weight if it's full. Same as it feels when I pack up for a camping trip though or have my bike on the back - I usually only fill it half way unless i have a longer trip planned.

Was the installation of the grille easy and did you do it yourself? I'm torn because I'm not sure if I'll like it and if I don't, it wouldn't be too complicated to replace with my original grille instead.

It was pretty easy with simple tools yeah, aside from the tires and suspension the second time round I have done everything in my driveway! The grill can be done in less than 30 minutes depending on if you have a 2018+ as they have the TSS sensor in the grill but even that is pretty easy.

Using a 700lbs spring just to limit travel is really not the proper way to do it. And without the weight in the tront you'll never get enough weight transfer to really get max articulation. You really need to cut to fit bigger tires. That's the way it is. You need a CMR kit and depending on your offset cut the fenders. That said, like many, you really only do basic overlanding. Why you wanted those big tires I don't know. Makes no sense to me. I guess it looks good on IG.

I actually got the 700lbs springs to support the steel bumper I'll be putting on this year. My old 650lbs springs started to sag a lot even with the stock weight after a few years. To be clear the fact that it doesn't rub as much is not why I got them. Also I have never rubbed anywhere before or after and I do have a aggressive CMC I'm just saying some kids love their big 35s and 37s so it could help. Sounds like you need to watch more of my videos and trips to Colorado before just making assumptions XD
