Thanks for documenting your work, the camera and lights adds time to the job not to mention the editing and the planning it takes to tell a story. Just wanted to throw my thanks out there - I watch yours and a couple of other videos and installed my SPC UCAs and an OME 2 in heavy kit this past weekend. Thanks for taking the time. Edit: I know this is a general service video. It just popped up in my feed and I wanted to thank you for your vids in general.

Chloe, rear to front rotation is correct. But fronts need to be criss-crossed when moved to the rear of any RWD/4WD/AWD vehicle. That way over time, each tire will get used at all four corners.

Awesome job Chloe. Just a friendly tip, not sure if you done it already, make sure you lube the O ring (just soak motor oil or wd40 it) Also, for the air filter recharge, i would clean and re-oil and let it dry for a bit before installing. I usually just throw in the stock paper filter and let the newly reoiled filter dry overnight. Reason being, rechargeable filters tend to gum up throttle body and or MAF sensor.

Chloe, once again your detailed demos are the best. Your oil change segment was very helpful, the Toyota oil filter is unlike the traditional oil filters we have used for years with American vehicles. Hats off to you for doing the work yourself.

Its difficult to get people to do their own work as it is a little intimidating at first, but if they see that you can do it as a petite girl, that others hopefully will give it a try. And I love the K02's. I use them on my vehicle and love how they run on and off road. I have not gotten stuck with them yet. Close a couple times, but not stuck. Keep up the good work.

Very good video on maintaining your truck. Just to let u know u dont need to torque down your oil drain plug. But thats up to u. I bought a K &N cabin air filter so i dont have to always buy one every 15000miles. Just have to wash it out. When it comes to the drive shaft to be lubricated. I do it all together with the front n rear differential, transfer case n transmission fluid change at 30000miles. Everything is all drain n pour for my Tacoma even my manual transmission.

Good job! Just to pass along some info, my dealership and two other Toyota technicians told me that Toyota recommends either Mobile One full synthetic or genuine Toyota full synthetic 0-20W oil for my 2021 TRD Tacoma. Recently however I learned that using other full synthetic brands that meet their requirements will not void your warranty. You can also purchase a Toyota carbon cabin air filter instead of the regular one like you used. It’s more expensive of course but does a much better job. Thank you for another great video. You are definitely a DIY owner that I can appreciate.

If you shake the jack handle gently from side to side while slowly twisting it lowers the pressure much easier. The gear on the handle that meets the jack needs a little bump to get started, or it's almost "locked" into place with all the pressure on it.

Great video. One thought on the tire tread depth. You don't need any more tools. You could use your the calipers that you used to measure the brake pads. There is a depth gauge built in to the calipers. When you open the calipers, take the pin/bar that comes out at the end and stick it into the tread. Then close the calipers until the end of the calipers touches the top of the tread. The measurement will be the tread depth.

unless the tires are directional, you should rotate tires differently than you did. Take "drive" axle tires and move them to other axle on same side of vehicle, than take the non drive axle tires and put them on opposite side of drive axle. So in your case, rear tires to front on same side, and than take the front tires you removed and put them on the rear axle of other side. I like your jack, it;s a mini power house jack that looks like it in itself could tackle the trails if it had a engine. Unless your impact gun does not have enough power to remove the tightened lug nuts, there is really no reason to loosen the lugs before lifting the truck. Let the impact gun do the work. If it is possible, (i'm not sure about your type of filter) you should fill up filter with at least 1/2 of filter capacity with some clean oil before installing it back on. This will allow oil to start flowing thru the engine faster than starting engine with a dry filter allows. I love how you even wear a Toyota shirt for your Toyota Maintenance. Great job Chloe. Also, never a bad idea to do a battery load test on your battery. You can get a device that looks like a toaster with jumper leads on it to test battery strength at home.

Helpful tip using a torque wrench. Get into position so you're continuously applying a constant pressure to torque wrench until it releases. Once you've torqued a bunch of things, you get the hang of it and it will help eliminate blowing by the torque wrench release point.

There is a school of thought that keeping it sealed is 1/2 the battle. Also, I have a Land Cruiser and the oiled air filters are kinda spurned. I've had great luck pushing the nipple onto the bottom of the oil filter housing with an empty 750 ML wine bottle. You can grip it and give it the shove you need to get the drain in place and all of the oil dumps right into the bottle without any mess. Also, I don't know from experience with my '19 Tacoma but with my 2008 Tundra, I bought the metal filter housing for a Venza and swapped it out with the Tundra, you can get a much better grip with an oil filter wrench and it won't strip out. You do have to swap the metal cylinder from the truck filter with the smaller venza piece. Hope this helps.

Since you take your truck off-road, you might want to clean the Mass Air-Flow Sensor. I use CRC's Lectra-Motive Electric Parts Cleaner which will clean the thermistor/s but won't leave any residue. A dirty MAF will cause poor fuel economy because the ECU won't be getting an accurate reading from the MAF to determine how much fuel the engine requires Vs. air flow.

Great video. My Ridgeline takes 6 quarts too. Good to know that 6 quart boxes are available. When I torque my wheels, I generally leave the truck jacked up enough to prevent the wheels from turning. Then after let down the truck. Just something I was taught. Btw, I road tripped the Ridgeline to NY last week. On I-81, I averaged 29.3 mpg using your mpg advice.

Have you ever experienced small leaks from the oil filter canister after an oil change? All list items were checked off, proper torque on cannisters and bottom plug... Getting a tiny drop or two after driving!
