Depressing from Arsenal really. Nobody thought they were going to win but they kinda just gave the win to City even before the red. They sorta played a Mid block but with no pressure. I get that their defensive miss are injured but the 532 with Mids that don't track back well defensively was never going to work. They should've just sat back from the start. It seems that they were ready to press at any time but just kinda were scared to and had second thoughts. It looked so disorganized and weird especially in the midfield. I thought a 4231 low block would've worked better tbh so you atleast have a double pivot helping out the 2 cbs and if you wanted to drop back Saka to help out wide

Arteta is really odd IMO. Either he's inexperienced or naive like Lampard was. I think working in City should have made him realize that City's midfield is their strongest area and sitting back with those midfield players are basically inviting City to score, those guys are better in attacking than defending. The funniest thing is that Xhaka keeps playing despite him making lots of mistakes and making him DM. This Arsenal squad is actually decent but Arteta cannot use it well

Arsenal: Still useless in the DM zone. That is the 1st area they should have be solving over past 10 years. Every other mistake compounds from that 1st unresolved area. Xhaka is always going to be a weak link here too (nothing against the player) and that's with a weak defence and few very good defensive offensive players either.

Man there are so many problems within arsenal Poor siginings ( pepe, ramsdale xhaka...) The insisting of arteta in awful players like xhaka, chambers, holding, who clearly lack the quality even for smaller premier league clubs And the overall morale of the club is totally affected. There's literally no need for more than one person to press city's wide back 3 with Emerson. They're never gonna get the ball and the 2 pressing leaves too much space behind to allow city to pass.
