It resembles more Into The Breach and chess because of its completely predictable events and puzzle feel. And to be fair, the first prototype was shown 5 years ago, at least 1 year before Chimera Squad's release.

That big boat that you see is named "Karaboudjan"(seen in the demo). Which is the exact name for the boat of Captain Haddock, from the series named Tintin.
