Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been attacked by a dude with nunchucks. Usually it’s my stupid cousin doing stupid things but still, can’t be too careful.

I am an ex cold war era Infantryman. Our training was to either A) level the building entirely with air, artillery or direct heavy weapons fire, or to B) use said building as a live fire grenade qualification course before entering. Things are much simpler in an unrestricted warfare scenario.

@@bpri9880 Maybe they did but then again 80% of civilians there are native russians so maybe they did not because of that fact maybe somebody else exploited that fact.

Hey everybody, One the things i hope I'm getting across is that you should do force on force training, even if it is a little off. What it will do is help mentally prepare you for those surprises and it will help you streamline your TTPs. Why train a technique your not going to use? There are only so many hours in a day. Thanks guys for your comments

Situational awareness is the best thing..wether he was right or wrong that’s what I took away from it besides when fighting for your life or when your life is in the line I doubt the last thing your thinking about is what’s right and wrong

In California you would be locked up in San Quentin for that shot. But in Texas it would probably be fine. That's how radically different this country is based on state at this point. Food for thought. Great vid.

In my state (MD) you’d probably go to prison for that use of force. Actually, not probably, almost definitely. Always know your state laws like they said though.

Talking about certain aspects afterwards would be elevated by replays of the footage while you talk maybe picture in picture if there is something Tosh or you want to point out specifically or compare first or second try on a scenario and seeing the footage and what you show together when it makes sense or side by side. Give it a try. For future videos also try different types of reach of the attacker's weapons. I recently saw a hatchet attack.

Excellent learning experience and thanks for all the hard work you do in sharing your expertise!!! I feel that the most important part is repeated exposure on these types of scenarios in training. I would have to say that most responses are reactionary-- you don't have time to think and like muscle memory you will do what you think puts you to an advantage at the moment. The one concern that I have is that most hits are planned ahead of time and whether the attacker is skilled and most likely good with the knife then that is a no win situation...

S, I agree with you. By doing training like this it will ultimately help your SA so hopefully we don't get caught off guard.. Thanks for the comment.

What about keeping an eye out for your back stop? What if you are in a semi crowded street and this happens? We are responsible for every round we discharge.
@Followme556

"We are responsible for every round we fire," depends on your occupation, your location, the political affiliation of your mayor and DA, the demographics of anyone you might accidentally hit and the quality of your defense attorney.

B Pri, Thanks for the comment. Very good point. I would like to think most people would think of that, But when the heats on and are caught unaware I'm so sure even the most experienced individual that will come to mine. That being said it should be reiterated in the training process. Great comment.

So typically i don't walk and use my phone if i need to use it i will stop and lean against a wall or post unless i am in a wide open space where nothing else is around. i know that its part of this scenario but its the whole ounce of prevention thing

Don’t just know your State laws, but know your county’s politics and who runs the local prosecutors office! Every factor is just as important as the state laws. The witnesses on scene, the individual cop responding, the prosecutor who reviews it, the defense attorney you may hire, and the actual details of the encounter ALL play a huge role in your future after any scenario where you pull your firearm. My best advice, learn how to de-escalate every situation as best you can.

Nunchucks is not a deadly weapon no need for a firearm to deal with use knife as a realistic deadly threat in Kali we can disarm an attacker with a nunchucks or any blunt stuff if that is a deadly weapon it's another story
