I liked the higher end tele style tagima, and the offsets kind of fell apart on me, but for $200 I could definitely recommend this one, the bones are there and you get classic strat sounds for only $200. They come in fun colors too.

Yup, I got the same make, model, color, practically brand new...for 120 bucks, I have no regrets at all. I do miss my Fender strat, but this guitar stands on its own merit for what it is I say.

I bought this exact surf green /maple fretboard 3 yrs ago. I have to say it stands on its own merit to most MIM strats. Plays in 450-$600 weight class. I've yet to mod, even after 3 yrs.! Lol Action and intonation were excellent out of the box. Good quack and sustain. The ceramic coils play well. She is a total keeper. I could not be happier with this little guitar. Color and finish are first rate. Neck is a little glossy, but still feels and plays well. If you're looking for a great budget Strat, you have a full endorsement from me! Thanx for this video that turned me onto my Tagima strat! Cheers BR

But this is made in China. The brazilian series is more "respected" when it comes to Tagima (or even Seizi) guitars.

@@livinthesound5182 Is not that brazilians misjudge Tagima (a brazilian brand, huge domestically), but after the founder of it (Seizi Tagima) sold the brand, they started to import really bad chinese guitars for their entry level, with their badge on it. So even though they still had the "brazilian series", some people had bad experiences with the chinese ones (sometimes as their first contact with the brand) and started to assume Tagima was always not a great choice. Probably they've learned a lot with it, and nowadays even their entry level "made in china" guitars are pretty good on their price range. In the past some people used to complain even about the fact that the "made in Brazil" guitars were made with brazilian woods, mostly (as if it was a bad thing - while in fact brazilian woods usually are some of the best for instruments). Anyway... His point is: in Brazil, some people don't even try Tagima instruments, assume they're inferior and then buy stuff like Bullet Squiers et cetera in entry level.

This is the second guitar you sold me! I bought the G&L Fallout Tribute after your Thomann video, now I bought the Tagima but I bought the T-635 it's a step up from the one you're playing its $299 but it has an Alder body and 2 point Trem with a bone nut and Alnico pickups. I've been wanting an inexpensive Strat to mod and wanted an Alder or Ash body and 2 point Trem. I figured it can be my guitar that sits out and I play most while my 2 sons custom relic it. They're doing a job on my Gibson Les Paul Special and its been pissing me off but I wouldn't care if they dinged up a moded import Strat type guitar.

You have the best sound I have heard at a trade show. The background noise is usually so bad that I can’t get what they are saying or playing very well. Your set up really works. Nice review of the guitar!

Where can you find the 530 for $200? Reverb sellers have it for $299 and up. Has inflation boosted the price 50%? Seems a bit much for a price increase

I picked up a Tagima jazzmaster type guitar and it was actually pretty good. They remind me a lot of a G&L.

I love love love my TW-61 (jazzmaster/offset shape) with P90s. It'll be a looooooooong time before I can justify a new guitar, but something stratty will be right in the wheelhouse.

Excellent wood and construction, the low price is due to the 1/5 dollar exchange rate in relation to the Brazilian currency ...... not that the components are bad, on the contrary but a smart upgrade while spending little $ will raise the level this guitar.

TG-530s have a more comfortable neck in my opinion. I would put them ahead of affinity series guitars

I have tried the Tagima TG540 (with a humbucker in the bridge) and the Squier affinity. Tagima is better. The neck is better, the finish is better. Feels better when playing.

I never played the TG-530, but its in the same price range of the Memphis by Tagima MG-32. I think the only difference would be the pickups. Not sure if the TG-530 is ceramic or not, but the MG-32 are, I have 4 of them and i absolutely love them. Brazilians have a bias against Tagima for the shit things they did in the past, but they have solid instruments for a good price.

THIS IS MY GUITAR MAN IS VERY GOOD If you put on positions 2 and 4, rolling off the tone of the middle pickup to 3 or 5, and put some distortion or fuzz you can have insane humbuckingish sound (like Mick Ronson). I love my guitar!

I picked one up in candy apple red for under $200 new. Bang for the buck is astounding. It’s comparable to a Classic Vibe for half the cost. Significantly better than a Bullet or Affinity series.

Their page sucks donkey balls because it's mostly slow and choppy and it just keeps reloading. If the site sucks then these guitars must suck too.
