I lived in Lake Tahoe in 1979/1980. We did not live too far away from Taylor Creek. We visited Taylor Creek to see these salmon. Amazing experience. Beautiful time of the year before the snow comes.

Been going there for 40 years. Used to play at the beach with my daughter and dogs. She loved searching for the bull frogs in the marsh. We would walk from The beach up Taylor Creek and pretend we were Indians. Well, actually we are, but the historic kind. 😁

great question. We used to live in Duluth and that would have been pretty cool to see in Lake superior.

I spent many hours around there on the bridge and biking (not the kind you do!). Isn’t there an underwater wildlife museum right there? Or am I mistaken? Great info given here. Thanks.

Hey Paul, Yes there is a stream profile chamber but it is closed currently. Unfortunately last year someone vandalized the glass in the viewing chamber and they are working on replacing that. It should be ready to go next spring per the USFS.

The circle of life of a non native, invasive species. In a lake that is an ecological nightmare whoo.
