This is my first look at Taii Wakeen. I built a pingers deck and its quite fun.

Yes! I am so excited to see you try Taii (I think it's actually pronounced Tah-ee). I've built her and have been having a blast with how explosive she can be. I've found cards like Varchild's War-riders and Forbidden Orchard to have great success in the deck as card draw fodder producers into the mass ping spells. I've settled on a more token style build that uses Taii's ability to supercharge Pyrohemia/Impact Temors effects to close out games.

Oh yeah I could see that being really strong also. Basically anything that generates a lot of 1 damage triggers can be exploited pretty hard.

Tries to wipe the board and draw 15 cards with 3 Mana, still wipes the board but doesn't get to draw: "Come on? Really?" One big kraken and his icy draft chaft bois: "Disgusting...🤮". In all seriousness though, I thought it was a pretty well fought game.

I think that was after the spellshock so I was already in bad mood.😄 Yeah it was a pretty good game, teetered on the edge for a while.

Yes wort would be hurt. But I would also die to it fast as well. So this I was preserving my own

32:21 icefall regent says “for as long at *you* control it” so since dawubber no longer controls regent you got taii waukeen running again

I may be getting access to the 40k cards which could make it possible. But I am planning to shift to strategy videos for a little bit, so we'll see what happens.

It looks like you could have done 30 dmg the turn it went down to two players, activating Taii for 14 and then using both pingers.

Why do you think I kept locking him down with Monstrosity? Saw that line and it scared me.

Did I have that opportunity or was I locked down? I didnt see the line at the time.

@@CommanderReplay OK went back and watched at 20:20 you were open from your point of view but opponent did end up playing Void Rend the same turn so they could have negated the trigger if they took out Taii in response to an activation. Still wild to do 30 dmg off pinging in 1 turn if removal is not held up.

28:34 does not become a new object upon phasing, im like 90% sure.

Yeah that tracts. The the dragon thing was "as long as you control" which is why Taii was able to untap :)

Could you put x5 into Taii Wakeen and cast Aurelia’s fury where x1 and divide the damage?

You only get to pick where the 1 dmg from fury goes and then that one target would take an additional 5. So what that play you could do 6 dmg to 1 thing. Taii doesn't increase the total damage available from fury it just deals damage to what you target after fury resolves. If you pay 3 for Taii and 3 for fury and split fury between 3 targets each target would take 4.

Yeah it seems like it would be really strong. I believe thats how it works.

Oh yeah for sure. Basically a past in flames style deck is gonna be much stronger much faster. I had started building that initially got to the end and said this looks boring as hell.

@@CommanderReplay x effects is what I should have said. And not pay x, i mean variable damage. Can't talk. You mentioned boros reckoner which is where it gets into a prison deck.

So I've built Taii and have had a chance to play her 3 times now. Impact Tremors/Hell Rider + tokens seems to be a very strong build with my experience so far.
