Tail Concerto is more like The Misadventures of Tron Bonne than Rockman DASH.

Would love to hear about the other games in this series. Always love learning about old and semi obscure games especially ones that were on consoles I missed out on

Tail Concerto is a pretty enjoyable gem if somewhat cumbersome coming from a more modern time and having not played any Playstation games to not be used to a lot of old console gaming jank lol It's a pretty charming game, owing to its cutscenes and characters, but the controls are pretty jank to work with, probably not helped with it being played on non-joy sticks in mind(idk if possible to use the thumbstick option in emulators or if it supports it). Platformers are definitely NOT made for this game, and agreed with the final part of the game, where it definitely doesn't help that the camera can be also a bit of a problem to work with too, and those worms just deciding to knock you off the platforms even with the homing laser as a defense weapon. But nonetheless despite those troubles and its somewhat short length, it's a treat of a game from beginning to end. I honestly think that if Bandai Namco has a chance to try and do a remake of the game, would be to fix as much of the controls and platforms and controls, and it'll be a good enough change to make since it kind of gels into the problems of fighting and platforming(though boss fights are perfectly fine due to the size of the arenas being suitable even with awkward controls) Solatorobo feels like it's realized so much of what Tail Concerto tried to play with, and made it simple and fun, plus having a lot of things you did mention that the game lacked, like side missions, upgrades and abilities to unlock. It also has many different varieties of missions to play, even with much of your toolkit being to pick up and carry/throw objects, will have additional things in different missions to mix things up a lot. Also has a great story to come along with too, with many great characters to meet and interact, and it being much longer in length. Though if you plan to get it physically, it's in a strange spot where many of its copies would be in the triple digits, there are copies from certain regions where they're cheaper. Still recommended to play in emulator. Whereas Fuga on the other hand turns itself from an Action RPG to a turn-based RPG in a more war-like setting as you pilot an ancient tank as 12 children to save their parents from the Berman Empire, as they attack the region of Gasco. It's also is a trilogy of games, with Fuga 2 being its most recent today. As a bonus unlike Tail Concerto and Solatorobo, it's available digitally in all platforms, so no need to worry about breaking the bank to get a copy of the game. Also the lore of the series, especially after they did Solatorobo is one of the more comprehensive I've seen, and while many of it are outside of the games via books, it has some lore bits in the later games after Tail Concerto. And all characters from Tail Concerto appear in Solatorobo. To put it shortly, the current world of the Little Tail Bronx series takes place after a nuclear armageddon that wiped the original earth to nothing, and caused the world to later elevate floating islands into the sky above the clouds. Though this is after they properly realized it in Solatorobo, and would've been a soft-reboot of Tail Concerto in that case for retconning certain elements of the original. And Fuga takes place 1000 years before the events of Solatorobo. Glad to see some more coverage of this hidden gem of a series. Especially in waiting for Fuga 3 after finishing Fuga 2 :)

Tail Concerto has a charm that I can't quite place.. The atmosphere and music was charming, and occasionally kind of silly or cute. My experience with the rocket pack was the opposite of yours though 😅 I loved it, it was the first game I played where the character GAINED a movement ability like flight, and I vividly remember wishing I could keep it I haven't played the game in years, so I don't know how I'd feel about certain things if I replayed it now, but I'm happy that the game is still getting some love!

I am a fan of mega man legends, however I have never played one of the games, this video was quite enjoyable

Wish i had this growing up, the only game I had related to cyberconnect is Solotorobo which is still an amazing game

One of my cherished PS1 games, it's janky as heck but the charm more than makes up for it. And the sequel Solatorobo is way deeper than you'd expect!

This look like a very enjoyable game to play, what with the graphic looking like Megaman legends. Now the major question does anyone know where anyone cab play the game, cause i look at the cost for a physical and Jesus Christ that price tag.
