This video is about the preparation of Kerala style Tomato curry also called as Thakkali curry. It is usually served as a side dish for rice. The curry is very easy to prepare and can be done in less than 15 minutes. Friends try this recipe and please post your feedback.

- INGREDIENTS -
Tomato (തക്കാളി) - 3 Nos
Onion (സവോള) - 1 No
Green Chilli (പച്ചമുളക്) - 3 Nos
Ginger (ഇഞ്ചി) - 1 Inch Piece
Garlic (വെളുത്തുള്ളി) - 4 Nos
Chilli Powder (മുളകുപൊടി) - 1 Teaspoon
Coriander Powder (മല്ലിപ്പൊടി) - ½ Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder (മഞ്ഞള്‍പൊടി) - ¼ Teaspoon
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) - 2 Teaspoon
Water (വെളളം) - 1 Cup
Grated Coconut (തേങ്ങ ചിരണ്ടിയത്) - 1 Cup
Hot Water (ചൂടുവെള്ളം) - 2 Cups
Coconut Oil (വെളിച്ചെണ്ണ) - 2½ Tablespoon
Mustard Seeds (കടുക്) - ½ Teaspoon
Dry Red Chillies (ഉണക്കമുളക്) - 3 Nos
Shallots (ചെറിയ ഉള്ളി) - 5 Nos
Curry Leaves (കറിവേപ്പില) - 2 Sprigs

I made this yesterday. It was very yummy. Thanks for your recipes. Your videos are very clearly stated, not lengthy which makes easier to watch. Very good presentation especially the little tips like tablespoon teaspoon and closing lid for 5 min after everything is made. Really flavoured when you do it.

My husband 71 and I 66 are at the fag end of our Home Isolation following Covid infection. Your recipes are an immense help. As we do not have many things in stock, this was the curry today. It is surprisingly tasty for all its simplicity and ease of cooking with just a few and always available ingredients.My daughter in law made it and it was super. We are all in quarantine together as they moved in when we became ill to be around in case of need. Your precision in measurement was a great help when I cooked as I had lost taste. No wonder, your background in IT does not permit vague directions.

ഇന്നത്തെ ഡിന്നറിന് ഞാൻ ഇന തക്കാളി കറിയാണ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയത്. ലേശം പുളി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു നുള്ള് പഞ്ചസാര ചേർത്തു നോക്കി. അപ്പോൾ taste എല്ലാം ബാലൻസ്ഡ് ആയി വന്നു. super taste Thank you Shan
