Yeah Fanta will reach over 100k and upwards I believe plus his Twitch streaming is pretty awesome. He's genuine and tells it how it is from his perspective. Love the guy or hate him but he's an awesome content creator and you can't deny that. Fanta is Fanta-Tastic.

I know You tube has weird algorithms that punish people for being creative if that creativity does not result in a numerous view count but you should consider doing short videos dedicated to beer every so often. Its obviously a topic you are somewhat interested in and I think its safe to say many others are as well. I know I am.

Pawn law is simple, it is when any used items comes in, it is held for incase it was involved in a theft/robbery or such. Then if it is, after all the paperwork is filled out, the item is returned to the owner.

I'm just starting to collect Pop Figures to decorate my library. My ManCave is filled with 200 McFarlane NHL, NFL & a few other MLB and Austin Powers series 2 figures & 4 box sets. Still not done the collection yet. Anyways, even though you didn't crack a beer I still sparked a few medicinal bong hits to watch your awesome Tales From Retail series - I really loved the Old Man story from part 2 of the last episode and your content in general. It keeps a dying man like me positive and I always have a Fanta-Tastic day! Many thanks for the amazing content. From Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada peace out, Fanta! ✌😎

Glad to hear it! Gonna go over pawn laws and go in detail about trade ins in the next GameStop episode of TFR. I'm sure I have more stories about the Chinese restaurant, I just need to remember them XD It was quite a few years ago so remembering interesting and specific things worth talking about takes a bit of effort especially with my terrible memory.

Overstock has been the main issue where I work since I started there a year ago. I won't mention specifically where I work because describing this in detail could possibly get me in trouble, I'm not sure so I'm not going to take that risk, but I work at a gift shop of a historical landmark and when I started working there last year the overstock situation was unfathomable. The previous manager who was in charge of ordering merchandise before I started working there must have been ridiculous. Instead of ordering between 100 to 300 pieces of a new item like a shirt or mug, he decided to 'save on shipping and production cost' by ordering them by the thousands. So instead of monitoring how well this new mug is selling from the initial shipment of 300, we instead had at least 10,000 of them shipped to us all at once, if not more. And this was for several items. So since it's a historic landmark which was not designed as a retail store, these mountains of boxes full of the same merchandise had to be stacked in every conceivable place that wasn't seen on the tours we give. The basement, the closets, the attic, the pantries, the outer buildings, literally everything available space not seen by visitors was stacked to the ceiling with boxes of merchandise. It's like an episode of Hoarders for us staff. Granted by the time I was hired on that manager had been fired, but we're still sitting on top of all this merchandise that has been stored on the property for almost a decade now. And it all has our logo on it so we can't just drop it off at Goodwill, we're stuck with it until it's finally sells. So it's not uncommon for me to fetch merchandise from inside the building the guests are touring while trying to stay out of sight of the tour groups. I'm like a ninja sneaking in and sneaking out with a dolly stacked with boxes between the tours. I love my job so much, but this is a disastrous situation that we're going to be dealing with for years to come.

hey just recently found your channel I subbed N hit the bell your stories are quite entertaining! I have one of my own back when I was an extremely frequent customer at gamestop. One day I walked in as a customer looking for a card to buy credit for a Free to Play game I used to frequent called planet side 2. Planet side would sell these credit boosters at game stop and in return from buying it there you would get an exclusive weapon. I am assuming this was the reason why there was a lot of physical advertisements in and around the store promoting planet side 2. Anyways I asked the cashier if they had the cards because the place was jammed packed, they had no idea what I was talking about and even questioned if they carried that item. Now this was a movie moment! I say that because right behind this guy was a giant almost human sized advertisement that took up the entirety of the portions of back wall that were not littered with product that was a giant planet side 2 advertisement. so I pointed behind him, we had a good laugh he hunted down the card for me and it was cool.

When I was little I used to walk into GameStop with my mom and there would be PS2 games *smashed* into these huge crates, clearly ruining the cases, and then to make things worse, there were even more ps2 games stacked on top of the smashed ones just waiting to fall off. What a nightmare...

I just discovered this channel a few days ago and I'm already a fan. I know you're not a giant channel yet, (you should be) but one thing I admire about you is that you try to respond to comments and read as many as you can. Not very many people do that, so thanks, Fanta. Just went into a GameStop recently and I basically treated all the employees as kindly as possible because now I know what sort of stuff they go through haha. Had to get the game I wanted shipped to me though because they were out.

What we would do is face our best selling stuff and spine the stuff that doesn’t sell as well. But rare items (because we specialized in retro games) would be in a glass display case that doubled as our counter or on the wall behind the register. That’s where the retro stuff that was like $30 and up would be. I can’t tell you how many copies of Super Smash for N64 we sold at $60 a pop. That stuff never lasted more than a week. Smash and Mario Kart for any system we could never keep in stock. This was in the tail end of the big retro boom, too.

Man takes me back. We had spindles of games in the back grouped together in 25's thanks to the UPS trade ins(people would jack ups and sell us the game. No case etc. Like brand new anything we'd have it day 1 used. All shady) Dont forget to if you sold lets say that guitar hero that's been sitting on the shelf for ages, cooprate would ship you 20 more because you sold 1. Smh

I hope you'll do a video on gamestops "specials" like buy 2 get one free except you'd need to be a member. I remember watching a commercial when gameshop was buying games for 15 dollars per game, and yet the games I wanted to trade in would just give me a couple of pennies. (They where xbox original games but at the time I didnt owned one 360 game) and I swear everytime I went to a gameshop for a buy 1 or more and get one free the cashier always told me I need to be a member to get the deal. Im not sure if you really needed to be a member, or this was a cheap way for the guy getting one point for selling a membership to a customer.

We would only break stuff like controllers and accessories that were defective so people wouldn't try to dig them out and trade them in again.
