So my friend and i have this inside joke between us, where we imitate that, so one of us says “goodbye” and then we’d forget about it until we randomly remember it and then say “Mithos” because of how long it took Lloyd to say it. So literally, it cause be YEARS before one of us randomly says “Mithos” lmaoo

@@cbmazo9229 It would be funny if you did that as a game to where like, you have to go along saying "Goodbye" and then over the course of time say "Mithos" at a random time afterwards, and whoever says "Mithos" with the longest pause without ACTUALLY forgetting about the game and to say "Mithos" wins.

Cuz Mithos isn't at full power anymore, when u defeated the shadow creatures in Welgaia after getting ur party members back, u remove quite literally his final defenses, cuz those shadows are part of Mithos. What he said to the party is what he has been told and what he thinks bout himself. The other thing is, the 2nd phase is his inner state, a scared retreated child that has given up fighting (which is why that phase without the shadows is that easy), since its a symbolic fight ultimately.

+Kurapica07 To be honest, I always thought they did that on purpose to reflect the fact that he's fighting in the physical representation of the weaknesses that the protagonists got over but he never could. From a purely gameplay point of view it might feel anticlimactic, but from a storyline point of view it's actually a pretty clever way of tying up Mithos' character arc within the gameplay itself.

As he said, but more detailed, you should recognize the form he takes is very similar to that of The Fugitive, The Judged, and The Neglected, in fact having the attack patterns, details, and spells of all three. Those three mini-bosses were all guardians under Mithos's power. When they are defeated, they say the following: "Light fled into darkness, and you are now the new light. The coward who fled into darkness has lost his power" "Light fell into darkness along with sin. You bear your sin and are the new light. The power of darkness has ended" "You have conquered your darkness. You have changed from shadow to light. That which was light will lose its power" The reasoning for this is simple. These are the three character flaws of Mithos, each one represented by the illusions they faced in the traps, and in a more solid form, the bosses that were created as an additional test. Fighting them is not mandatory, and you can fight Mithos whether or not you have. Failing to fight them and beat them ahead of time, however, gives Mithos's final form resistance to the elements (and effects) that the individual pieces were resistant to, so fighting Mithos without beating them results in Mithos resisting *all forms of damage, including physical damage* in the final fight. Which makes the end fight significantly longer, and his resistance also makes him significantly harder to stun. This is the reason the end fight is so easy. He doesn't have these guardians to call on for power.

That's so awesome! I've been playing this game for... Almost 10 years, and I never knew that. (Btw, I played it like, once a year, so I'm not obsessed or anything... Right?) Regardless, it makes me want to try the boss without killing any of the guardians.

Casey Swanston Edwards Wasn't it explained somewhere that the power, the exspheres grant its user, is basically the same as angel powers even if much weaker? Maybe it was because of that or he wasn't suprised because he was technically a half angel.

+Mariokemon 6 months later ~ His mother's exsphere was the Angelus Project, an evolved form of exsphere meant for Yggdrasil himself. I don't think it was due to Mithos; the life (or essence) he gave to Lloyd was used to revive the tree's seed from the dead. The fact his wings stayed would imply there was another source, I think it was the Angelus Project.

Though for real, Genos has like, way better and way cooler spells whos incantations arent nearly as annoying.

If I remember correctly, you could indeed delete some spell and switch over from S/T type. What you have to keep in mind though is that Genis' advanced spells need a required mid spell (i.e. Indignation requires thunder blade, so you need to have that, which also means you cannot use spark wave). Since Absolute only requires Grave and Freeze lancer, you can get Absolute by picking those over Ice tornado and Stalagmite, and Indignation by picking Thunder blade over Spark wave. you can combine a lot of T and S type advanced spells on genis this way.

And it is possible to get Absolute and Ground Dasher? Do you prefer Atlas or Cyclone? Thanks, dude.

I personally prefer cyclone over atlas, mostly for the area it covers though. You can't get both absolute and ground dasher, sadly. Ground dasher requires you to have Stalagmite, Atlas requires you to have Grave. You can't have both of those at once. You can find a tech Chart for Genis on GameFAQs, they show you which spells he learns based on what type he is, and what spells you need in order to unlock them. (just google something along the lines of "Genis sage tech chart", it's made by Starcross.

This is a bit late, but I'm pretty sure that Colette's costume is Lloyd's own default outfit rather than Rita's, with the connection being that she loves and respects Lloyd, desires to be now like him, and also wouldn't mind getting into his pants.

lnsflare1 I agree other than the fact both had red jackets there is very little In common with Colettes’ costume and Ritas’ costumes.

@@MrJWTH Actually having seen other videos, it looks like Colette actually does have a Rita costume which isn't shown in this video, in the PS3 version. She's really more of an Estelle, though.

I don't know if you will read this 7 years later but it's really simple and it's related to their physical appearance: they have both flat chest, as sheena and judith are in the opposite side. In both game there are costumes and skits refeering that.

Yup, bosses do Mystic Artes based on their HP in this game, 50% HP will be Indignation Judgement and 25% HP will be Shining Bind in Mithos' case. Also he usually teleports to the center to cast so most of the time when he casts outside of the center area it means Indignation Judgement is coming.

Mysterious Swordsman the only difference is that presea has better ex-skills, while lloyd ex-skills are kinda lame or they don't do that mutch difference, most people use the sky atack comno ex-skills so they can do falcon in middle of combos or after tempest

Mysterious Swordsman it's good at combos but it's not like you can do that mutch actually zelos and kratos have a combination of ex-skills that allows them to extend their norml combo to 6 hits istead of 3 and to do one special skill behind other one: example: atack, atack, atack, atack, atack, atack, fierce demon fang, lightning thrust lloyd max combo is 3 in mid-air with sky combo, 4 in ground with extend combo, you can combine skills lvl 1 (demon fang, soic thrust, sword rain, tempest, beast) with skill plus, (still you need to have THOSE SKILLS equiped to do them), and with those 3 you get sky attack, (allows you to do attacks in mid air) example: do falcon after jump made by you, or after sword rain alpha, or omega tempest/psy tempest
