I have a wide variety of firearms. With that said, I alway go to my LMT rifles when I’m feeling the urge to drop brass. They are among my favorite!

You start with the 13.5" upper, then demo a piston install on a 9.5" upper. This might have the viewer think they can put a piston barrel on the 13.5", but it won't fit. Might need to clarity that you must use a 9.5" or shovelnose.

I love my 2016 MARS-L, even with the heavy quad rail. It's my goto even for USPSA matches.

SOLD, do you make a 18 or 20 inch piston in 5.56 for this or 16 and shorter only, waiting on one of you dealers to get restocked. Getting the info on being able to go from direct to piston was also helpful. was unaware of that but glad I watched. Info or a graph on the different length barrels and the chronograph averages for each caliber would be a great addition to your website. Solid firearm sir look forward to owning one soon.

Only complaints I have about LMT is the receiver lines, but as everyone knows, its a non-issue. I'd love some mid-length pencil barrels too.

recommendations on making it easier to install and remove barrels in a tight mrp upper? Is polishing the barrel extention recommended?

The tightness of the MRP mounting system lends to its accuracy and consistency. This will slightly break in over time as the surface finishes of the anodized upper and phosphated barrel extension will wear with repeated barrel swaps.

Negative, only reference rifles will ship with iron sights if they are specified in the original contract.

Does the mars L have a tension system to take slop out of the upper and lower fit?

The MRP upper has fitment tabs, but the MARS lower does not have any specific system.

I tried to do the LMT thing but QC is terrible as well as parts availability. Sad because they have the ability to be the best platform for a shtf rifle.

If you have had a QC issue directly, please reach out to us and we will get it taken care of ASAP. Though we pride ourselves on superior craftsmanship, we can miss some cosmetic defects but do what we can to make sure every customer is satisfied with their LMT products in the end.

Honestly, I purchased 2 complete mars lowers brand new and they both came extremely scratched up thankfully the ffl returned them and got me 2 new ones that were in great condition. But I’ve heard these types of stories many times. But another problem is finding parts. I found a specwar upper after a year and still trying to find 2 12.5 mid length barrels and 2 bcg with enhanced bolts. I’m still rooting for you guys because I do believe you guys have the ability to be the best AR system out there with the mrp. Hopefully I can get a specwar together at some point and do an actual high round count review.

How is the Defender lower different than USGI, if at all?

The Defender lower is a standard mil-spec style AR lower. No real updates or changes to note.

We sell stripped uppers on the website. Occasionally we will offer complete upper packages. These can also be found sometimes through larger LMT dealers.

I am not talking sh*t about the LMT by any means, if I could afford it, all my platforms would be LMT. however in today's economy, its not about features as much as it is price. consumers such as myself, can't even afford an LMT upper, let alone the completed platform, and with manufacturers like PSA, B.Kings Firearms, etc., their prices for what you get are hard to beat, for a low income consumers to walk away from. most of us can't hardly swing $1k for a platform, let alone $2k and more. LMT should think about doing an under $1k budget alternative platform, especially with that sweet, sweet ambi lower, and let its quality & reliability speak for itself! Just saying

Unfortunately many of the features that make our products attractive, like the ambi lower, also make them pricey. There are a lot of really good weapons on the market that will answer the general consumers need. Our weapons add features to these general consumer directed weapons to enhance the shooters capabilities, but come at a cost. We appreciate you considering our products though.

@railfanningpoints2.045 then don't buy low quality stuff. But I'm not going to knock anyone if their budget only allows for a psa and 1,000 rounds. Honestly, since they banned the import of Russian ak's.. I've been looking at the psa ak's. Opinion on those?
