DR. K PLEASE READ THIS: In Voicemeeter, you can set a limiter to each "strip" by left click + drag downwards on the "LED" volume indicators. I saw that you are hitting Red levels pretty god damn often and even if it sometimes isn't audible its not pleasant for your ears. Going in to Red values means the signal is "Clipping". If the signal is clipping, something/somewhere is distorting the output signal. Historically, peoples speakers have “poof’d” because of clipping. But this is nothing to worry about in this case. I heard you say you had VST-Host installed on your computer. That allows you to use external third party VST-FX Plug-Ins. My tip would be that you should try and find a tutorial on how to set up a effect chain with an EQ, Compressor and Limiter (At least a Limiter in the FX Chain!). You literally have everything installed to get a really good mic sound if you set it all up correctly :)

@@FreshFriF I am 38 years old and barely know that Keemstar is a person; he has been mentioned on other random KZfaq videos as someone who literally runs a channel about drama and therefore has a very dark and drama filled orbit through the internet (please correct me if I'm wrong). What can happen when you're older and especially if you build up your own family and have a career that you devote huge amounts of time to is you find you don't have space in your brain for random internet people, you've already got so much on your own plate. The energy on twitch/KZfaq that I vibe with is Sips of the Yogscast, and I just passively listen and never interact, and that's about as far into twitch that I would expect other 38 year olds to like Dr. K to go. Just FYI.

@Coldfury I think that its possible that she actually did gain a lot from this but it also doesnt excuse her or her actions. She probably geuinly does want help, but she still also could still be a toxic person. The two can co-exist. I hope she geuinly gets better and she does seem to geuine about most of these things, however I dont think that makes her entitled to other peoples trust or forgiveness. She accepts she fucked up and It does seem shes geuine about it, and she really doesnt come off like she is trying to seek other peoples forgiveness. However her accepting that shes fucked up and moving through it does not erase the actions that she did Or make her entitled to people forgiving her. The reason that I don't think shes being manipulative is because of 1:24:56. I have dealt with manipulative people in the past and they don't think like that. But even if shes not being manipulative doesnt mean she is entitled to others forgiveness.

I forgave her the moment she said "Vagina broken. Don't work". I laughed way too hard. In all seriousness, I've been hurt by cheating a lot and I won't lie, I judged Katerino in the same way I judged those who hurt me. I realize now that was wrong, and I found she was actually fairly similar to me in some ways when all I wanted to do was silently judge her. I'm glad I saw this. Is it just me or her talking a lot, jumping from topic to topic, talking with rich and vibrant vocabulary is some sort of defense mechanism? Every time Dr. K. pressed gently on a serious issue, she immediately ran away into "storytelling" territory where she talked and talked and in the same time, mentally separating herself from emotions and feelings. It felt like Dr. K was chasing a bunny through a complicated maze, and every time one would think that Dr. K. "had" her pinned against the wall she managed to get away from his grasp. And when he finally "had" her during meditation, calmed her down and had her focused on one hard memory she was legitimately scared. I know jackshit about psychology but I don't think she had dealt with everything on an emotional level. Her brain processed everything, she definitely put a lot of thought into her past, her abuse, her papa dying, her recent cheating, but I don't think she's emotionally ready to deal with everything she lived through. It's good that she's seeing a therapist, she will definitely need some help with that.
@VerbalLearning
@VerbalLearning 4 жыл бұрын
It could be a defense mechanism, it could also be that she has so many years of unproccessed thoughts and emotions all bottled up that whenever she does open up, the dam kinda bursts and it all comes flooding out at once, thus making it very scattered, unfocused, rambly and a bit chaotic. It's also possible that because focusing in on one memory makes her scared as you put it, she then has to move quickly from topic to topic as to avoid lingering in one place and feeling that fear, which is understandable.

@Jeff B and males. I've found myself in negative moral situations where I've slept with one women that I obviously led to believe we were exclusive and things where leading to a serious relationship and still sleep with one or two other women. I know it's wrong and I find myself quite uncomfortable thinking about it. I'm quite good looking and that's what I've been told by many people throughout my life. I feel like it's part of my identity to be successful with women. Also I feel like the need to mate is strong in this one.

In case anyone is in some sort of doubt about the dementia part, that part is so accurate. My own grandad went through it, and my brother and mother are working in aged care (70% of the facility have dementia) and I visit to help them sometimes. Yeah, families can be torn apart by it. The best friend grand dad breakdown I've personally seen twice, some of them forget the people they see everyday and I've had the same story about my real name about a hundred times. Its heart breaking to see someone just forget everything about themselves. And its not forgetting temporarily, they lose the memory permanently. I've seen people forget their spouse's face, and talk to them about them without knowing why the spouse is crying. Dementia is fucked up, if you think she wasn't being genuine about that, I'm gonna say you never had someone have this kind of breakdown in front of you. This is her breaking down, even if its not the media depicted way, in this I can say she is honest.

I'm glad Kate did this. Yeah, what she did was a very bad thing and she has to take responsibility for hurting people. But there were people going just a bit too far with it. If you see her as a person and you hear her experiences you sympathize with her on a human level and it's harder to be so cruel to someone who made a really bad choice like we all do at some point.

I can relate to her "depersonalisation". When I got too much going on and feel like things are slipping out of my control I kinda just check out and cruise along. It doesn't make anything better or less urgent, but I can ignore it easier until pressure gets too much and I feel like I swallowed hot lead, or whatever I was ignoring catches up with me and bites me in the ass. Can be really tough to get out of a rut like that but I'm getting better at forcing myself to do unpleasant things that need to get done. Even doing smaller stuff like cleaning etc helps me stay ontop of more important things like taxes, work, relationship maintenance or physical health.
@Fahad-21
@Fahad-21 4 жыл бұрын
For me, depersonalization is like when I do certain things, and convince myself that someone else did it, not me. Like I had times in my life where I would act completely opposite to my values, as if I were acting for a different life and not my own. So even though it's messed up, it's still an actual thing that can happen to some. It also makes people feel wrongly justified to do something wrong, just because "it's not me that's doing, it's another side of me. I guess an easier way to explain this is in acting, when you play certain parts, you get too emotionally into the part. You become an entirely different person in that moment. And somethings you just feel in that moment because you are supposed to feel it, not because you necessarily do(example: losing a loved one in a play that you are part of and acting that part out). That's what depersonalization feels like to me. I worry that this kind of personality is sociopathic and detached though.

I haven’t been able to get proper help so I feel like I’m broken until I can But I’m 18. I have my whole life ahead of me. This isn’t the end I know I’ve dumped a lot of comments on this video, but I feel like I have to. If Dr. K or someone on his team happens to read them, then I know that they may feel like their hard work to spread this information is working. Some people are calling Carson a simp for donating at the end. I can kinda get where this comes from, but what people are ignoring is that Carson donated to HealthyGamer, not Kate. Carson is being the bigger man by showing directly that he will not let a grudge against someone getting help from a network stop him from supporting the network; he’s not a petty person. This doesn’t mean he forgives Kate or forgets what she did. If anything, he’s not letting her have power over him in deciding to support a mental health network. And if that ain’t king shit, Idk what is.

@vulture cyclops I tend to disagree, i think that men are seeking attention too, i think it's human and women just tend to admit it more. What surprised me is how fitz was easily dismissed for his actions towards his friend, while she received all the hate. I genuinely don't get this double standard, i feel like they are equally responsible. The mental disorder part is an easy way out, i do agree on that, i guess we'll see if she grows from this or go back to her old ways

@vulture cyclops I think it's mostly because many of us have been brought up that way. Very prominent part of media that targets women is about finding a partner and/or focuses on appearances. Men crave attention too but more from their piers. Women are often just a way of getting aproval from other men.

I think the reason people cheat is because you want to date several people but also find "the one" at the same time. You don't want to lose your gf/bf but you don't want to say "this is the one i want to spend my entire life with". After cheating, you don't realise how badly you fucked up until you're caught. I think she liked Carson even tho she cheated.
