A guy in my platoon broke an SA80 in the first 5 minutes of training on it when they where changing from the SLR He dropped it and bust the handguard and took a chunk out of the EBS

Plank of the week is becoming like a witness at the Nuremburg trials, seeing the heaviest sentences dished out to a troupe of dancing mice because they had the wrong colour tutus. Can I nominate the SAGE committee, who have just predicted 1,000 hospitalisation PER DAY because of the omicron variety?

I'm so glad I graduated over 30 years ago. In those days, the faculty, the professorial staff, ran things. They had complete authority and we, as students, respected and accepted it. We were there to LEARN. We did NOT call the shots. I'm also so glad that 14 years ago, after 17 years spent in Education/Teaching, I saw what was coming and got out. Stroke of luck.

Prince Harry was protected by a squad of 12 in the Army. He was there for 10 yrs, and spent 20 wks on the front lines in a chopper, as a gunner. (2 other choppers would fly below his) That was 5 yrs after he'd spent 10 wks behind the lines as a drone pilot. I've never heard of anyone else in the Army for 10 yrs, and only fighting for 20 wks.

@@rule3036 he was not a door gunner he was a gunner in a ah64 that is the seat behind the pilot they then swap around both are trained as pilot and gunner

He did not fly drones he was on his first tour in the blues and royals as a CVRT commander and later a FOO he called in strikes then on his 2nd tour was a pilot/gunner in a AH64

It's just about the highest paid public service job for doing what an eight year old kid could do ,being a tube train driver. The eight year old kid may have to learn to do the job in a couple of hours .Driving a bus in London is a hundred times more difficult.

So a whistleblower let's it out of the bag that there's no one working in the home office presently. People quite rightly get annoyed. What does Boris do? Suddenly tells everyone to start working from home again. Job done, dealt with.

@@spm36 yep not just the home office. I needed to prove I was a British citizen for a job offer a few minutes ago. Applied to the relevant offices and heard nothing for two months. Working from home long term does not work

@Alex Shakespeare It wasn't him that was scared of being a target, it was the 'establishment'. If you read some of the other comments below you will see that he actually had about 10 guys attached to him to protect him, This obviously (and rightly so) pi**ed a lot people off. Whichever way you look at it the fact is that he was a target and therefore anyone around him also became targets, albeit as collateral damage.

I was watching the latest Saw horror movie. At the beginning opening credits, a warning was given stating " This film shows people smoking cigarettes " So, depicting smoking is offensive to some and needs a warning but people being torture, dismembered and killed, is fine😂😂

WELL, actually Netflix has paid them a half million $$ signing bonus, and that's all so far. They don't owe the Harkles another dime unless they produce something watchable. Spotify wasn't so smart...they paid them a big chunk of money up front for a podcast a month. Unless the Harkles start before the end of '21, Spotify is suing for their money back. ps their first podcast was actually their 3rd....the first 2 were un-airable.

Then I realised that I had inadvertently clicked the pause button by laughing so much and had missed some of the broadcast.
