I love how this build turned out. Such an awesome kit. I added a cheap 3900kv brushless motor & no-name ESC which I then tweaked with my program card and the car really flies!!!

The slots on the chassis where the battery sits were made for saddle pack batteries used in the 80 / 90s with three cells each side. Thanks for the video, 80 to mid 90s RC cars looked so much better.

Yeah I have been building Tamiya kits since the 80's and I used plenty of the old NiCD 6 cell packs. I kinda wish Tamiya would redesign their older kits for lipo because lipo are so much better albeit much more dangerous.

Hey Ryan, Wow! This thing looks and runs amazingly! Didn’t expect that budget brushless kit to do so well on 2s. You did an excellent job on the car build and decals. Top notch! This motor sounds so good to me, doesn’t sound like a bad gear mesh from what I can hear. Silky smooth! I’d definitely be proud of this one! I totally appreciate the mention of my channel too! the One Way Diff is an option? , that's nice, always prefer the one way Diff, less dynamic braking, in my TA03's nice review and tips, got to get this one.

3900kv is more than enough for most buggies. That's what AE and many others use in there RTR brushless stuff. Traxxas motors are 3500KV and they get great speed with 2 or 3s Lipo.

That's only about 22mph it's not very fast at all.

Huh??? This is in mph and I've done two top speed tests. You seem confused. I believe I got 35mph but I don't really remember but it was way faster than 22. You must think I was using kph?

You need to watch the video longer! The fist speed reading was bad which is typical with the Meilun's as they need a bit longer until they get an accurate reading. As you see at 21 mins I get a 35mph result. Don't leave silly comments until you have watched the entire video.

@RDs RC Reviews please stop giving conflicting information on these cars , you done exactly the same in your sand viper video, this is supposed to be a learning platform for all ages, you seem to only want to cater for a certain age group, not good my friend, I want you to rethink the purpose of the channel.

Ugh, like I said in the video. Why spend hundreds on expensive electronics to bash in my yard? That's stupid. I said if you are going to be competitive then you absolutely want to get a good kit like a Hobbywing and a Futaba.. I also don't have hundreds of extra dollars to spend on electronics to drive abound in my yard. As you see I got 35mph and it works great. Why do people feel the need to spend absurd money at the local hobby shop on electronics and they just bash it in their backyard?? Makes no sense to me but if you have money to burn that go for it.
