Thanks for the video. Bought my 5 year old a x-pro 125 atv. After less than 3 hours on it, the clutch went. I had to wait 2 weeks for the clutch tool to come. So I recommend ordering it with the clutch.

Thanks for the video. I bought our granddaughters a Coolster 125 four wheeler for Christmas a couple years ago. They rode it a lot. It sat up for five to six months. Battery died, carburetor clogged up so I took it to a Ace Hardware that sells them and got it running. New battery new carburetor. Technician said it wouldn’t shift into gear and they could not / did not want to get into the repair. The 4X4 is like new and well cared for except for setting up all those months. Any idea on what the shifting issue could be. I’m mechanically inclined, and can most likely fix if not to difficult.

Ok nice, if and when I buy a new clutch should it be soaked in that oil? If so how long do you recommend?
@TynkaTyme3 жыл бұрын
Josh Brekke that helps longevity of the friction plates. I didn’t personally do it, but highly recommend soaking them overnight

Great little video buddy! Strong work! Only question i have is how to adjust that clutch, I had the adjustment screw all the way in. Now with a new clutch in there, do I just back that puppy off a tad? Thank you

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one, i can’t remember if they’re the same as an old Honda motor or not. Honda’s you turn counter clockwise until you feel tension. Once you feel tension, turn it clockwise 1/8 of a turn and that’s it. I would try the Honda method first as these engines are Honda clones, if it doesn’t work, try turning it clockwise till you feel tension, then back off 1/8 of a turn.

My son has a 125cc toatoa go kart. It works great in the forward gears but grinds badly in reverse. Would replacing the clutch fix that issue? Very helpful video you made.
@braedendaniel6261 Жыл бұрын
We’ll unfortunately I don’t have my Chrystal ball with me, but if I had to guess I bet ur shift lineage is out of alignment and it’s not fully catching reverse, making it grind

Hi, when you installed the new gasket that goes between the case and the cover did you install it dry or with gasket sealant?
@TynkaTyme3 жыл бұрын
It’s personal preference, i do mine dry, some people use sealant as well, either way works.
@ryanhodges42034 жыл бұрын
Mine starts acting up after ~30 minutes of riding. Symptoms are close to no power in forward gear but reverse always has plenty of power. Problem goes away after cool down. Clutch? I was told could also be rear axle bearings. Idk. Would like to hear your thoughts.
@TynkaTyme4 жыл бұрын
I recently had one doing the same thing, reverse was fine, but no power in fwd. replaced the clutch and fixed the issue. Be sure you’re running an oil that is suitable for wet clutch operation. Should say it on the bottle.

I have a 4 wheeler exactly like that one.. but I can't tell in which gear is and won't turn on because is not in neutral. What can I do to fix this issue.. will replacing the clutch fix the issue?
@TynkaTyme3 жыл бұрын
Mayito 88 if the fourwheeler shifts gears ok, just try switching through the gears and try starting it in each one. If it doesn’t start, your problem isn’t because it’s not in neutral. You can also find neutral by rolling the fourwheeler. If the wheels turn freely and you are able to push it without the rear tires skidding, you’re in neutral. If it rolls easily, and still won’t start, you have other issues, like a bad solenoid.
@mayito88513 жыл бұрын
@@TynkaTyme the 4 wheeler don't shift in any gear and also the tires don't move... I already replaced the electrical.. it was working before...my kid told me he was trying to shift when the 4 wheeler got stock in high throttle. Probably that damage the clutch right? 🤔
@TynkaTyme3 жыл бұрын
Mayito 88 probably not clutch related. I’d take your clutch cover and clutch off and make sure your shift shaft is moving the shift drum like it should
@mayito88513 жыл бұрын

Great video - Thank You ! Does anyone know how i could attempt to fix/rebuild the clutch (vs replace) ? Also, on my 2nd ATV, what could I do preventative care or maintenance to make it last longer ?
@TynkaTyme4 жыл бұрын
Ali Asghar clutch assemblies are 20 dollars, so i would just rather put a brand new on than go through the hassle of finding all the parts and tearing the old one apart. Just keep oil changed, air filter clean, and valves in spec.
@aasghar4 жыл бұрын
@@TynkaTyme Thank you. My biggest issue is sourcing parts, no as free flowing and quick to be delivered in Toronto, Canada. I agree with you though. BTW, Valves in spec ? How (if there is any video you can point me to) ? Once again, thanks and keep up the good work ! ... and also, stay safe please :)

Ali Asghar watch one of my first videos where i do a top end rebuild i think it’s part 3 where i show you how to adjust valves. I usually use amazon, eBay, or Vmc Chinese parts.com for all my parts . Thanks for watching the videos and subscribing! I’ll keep them coming!
