It was fun mate. I really enjoyed being out for a few hours. I’m always amazed when people from countries other than my own make a comment. So thanks for dropping by and taking the time to say hi 🥰💪

Nice to see you're back mate! Still rocking the Helikon anorak i see. Awesome. I literally tried the tree tap after watching Mike too haha! Mine was unsuccessful though. Considering getting a Trangia burner now lol 😆

Hey Paul. Cheers for commenting mate. Did you try a couple of trees, or do you think it wasn’t deep enough like my first effort? The trangia mini is a great kit. Intend to use the burner more than the whole kit though. And it’s a great second option to carry just incase a gas stove fails. I highly recommend them 😉

@@steelmanoutdoors4479 tbh it was done on a Wim as I was passing a birch tree with my daughter the stick was absorbing the liquid but it wasn't dripping, I suspect maybe it wasn't deep enough, ill have to try again. I saw Ray Mears do a similar thing years ok on TV and I remember afterwards he plugged the hole with a piece of wood and sawed the end off! Will give it another go this weekend tho. Yeah those trangia sets are quite cheap on Amazon so might pick up a set.

Stumbled across your channel while researching the Snugpak Scorpion 2 tent (saw one for sale at a local flea market here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). Have watched just a few of your more recent videos and am wondering what part of the UK you are in ... as aside from the absence of snow in December, the flora looks kinda similar to "these here parts" ... was surprised to see such relatively wild, manicured wooded areas in your parts (mind you I've never been to the UK or Europe). One thing you might consider doing is, in the "show more" area below the video, is listing ALL THE GEAR that you used in that episode ... maybe even the camera (you did mention the iPhone in this episode). I see you have mentioned the Etsy/Instagram sites of the bloke who made the neat stove pouch. But you might also list in that area some of the other blogs that you refer to in passing. I did catch the "simon the bloke in the woods" and look him up. Anyway, you have a really nice approach to vlogging, etc. etc. Cheers -Ron

Hi Ron. Welcome to the channel. I’m based in Northamptonshire in the UK which is in the midlands. I’ll take on your feedback and add it to my future videos. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate hearing from people and I hope to see you in the comment sections of some of my other videos at some point. 🏕
