no point in testing .338 AP. but definitely worth it to test .338 FMJ. since it has 47 penetration it has a chance to pen tier 5. curious if you get lucky with a penetration against a 100% durability tier 5 if it still one taps.

Blackout was designed to be used in CQB. Glad to see that translates to tarkov probably. I thought it was trash but I'll consider running my mcx now.

Keep in mind it has a 10% fragmentation chance, so if you are very lucky you can drop someone CRAZY fast. The AP round is very mean, but pricey for its pen value sadly

when do you plan on testing .338 FMJ? it has the same penetration as 7.62x39 BP so i'm really curious if it has an RNG chance to one tap the thorax through tier 5 armor if it gets a lucky penetration.

I heard that the .300 blk rounds had a weird bug where if you shot someone from the front, the round would hit their arms every time instead of the thorax, whereas the other rounds ignore the arms of the round would make contact with the the torso, anyone have any experience with this?

Big down side is the recoil even at 58 recoil it still kicks like a mule a sa 58 have better control and that is 70 plus I still love the black out because I always wanted one

2nd At least. .300 Is good ammo, but I find with scavs take a good few 3-4 shots of AP to kill to the thorax.

Might be hitting arms then, since the thorax only has 85 hp and AP .300 does 55 dmg per bullet so it should 2 tap normal scavs to the chest

Just a shame that the suppressor doesn't do anything to conceal the muzzle flash. Firing this gun on full auto sometimes is like being flash banged. You can't see anything.

One thing I remembered reading somewhere was that .300 AP was currently bugged and the rounds don't penetrate blacked limbs, meaning you don't overpen into a thorax if you shoot an arm. Could you do some testing yourself to see if this is the case? It's one of the few things holding me back rom seriously running blackouts, the other being the ungodly muzzle flash on full auto.

Pretty sure that was a feature last wipe, which is why Chad's were running those tilted Hk's all the time. The arms would distort and cause a smaller hitbox for the chest, and the blacked arms would tank the damage. I could be wrong tho.

@@The6698Clown that was an double abuse. The Chickenwing didn’t get the hit detection right and it was a ergonomic bug to the 45 angle 📐 scope.

Not correct works fine.they fixed it . Swapped all my .223 guns for .300 for testing porpuse. After 20 raids I can say it’s it’s more expensive than playing .223 ammo It’s not that versatile in terms of ammunition and Range Not that Modulare atm. But it’s an lvl 3 trader gun and cheaper than an recce or meta m4/416.

@@potatopotato1639 I was more talking about the performance of the bullet. 5.56x45 M855A1 is slightly worse then .300 AP but the muzzle velocity of the 5.56 is higher. Then you have 7.62x39 BP which is a tiny bit better then .300 AP with a slower muzzle velocity then the 5.56.

Mainly to compare one of the fastest rounds M61 out of a high velocity gun vs AP from an MCX to show a best vs worst situation. It’s not about what round is similar ect, it was about MOA & bullet drop. I might do a video on other rounds at range in the future :)

You're better off with the Korund or whatever the black level 5 is. Repairs amazingly, never gets taken so you always get it back in insurance, and is only like 100k

Yes they have super sonic loads but this round was specifically designed to work better in subsonic loads. Some are literally so quiet you only hear the bolt yet they only added fmj and a made up AP round. There’s honestly almost no reason to use this over a 7.62 AK

@@MsArchitectschannel true, but to me it’s not enough to justify dropping 90k on the gun maybe slightly less on flea depending on the time of day. Then spending money on mods and dropping $7 a round for AP ammo. And I think a lot of other players feel the same because I probably see this rifle the least out any of the assault rifles.

It is fine. It’s just not meant for armor so I don’t know why he tested it on armor. Shoot someone’s limbs and they drop FAST. All bullets aren’t meant for the the same thing.

@@PrinceMauriceTV My point was that if you want to shoot someone in the limbs, there are better and cheaper weapons and rounds to do that with. It's just not worth spending almost 100k on that gun and go for limb shots, when you could do the same thing better with shotguns or smgs.

@@CZProductions it took ages for them to fix that, and they still haven't with .366 AP sooooooooooooooooo? these bugs should never exist in the first place, every bullet should use the same code to do it's thing just with different variables but they refuse to do things properly so i wouldn't be surprised if this isn't fixed for a year

@@MsArchitectschannel Well in their large reddit post they just uploaded they detailed what changes are coming to 12.10 and an overhaul and fixing of the ballistics and penetration is coming, so at the latest we'll just have to wait for 12.10 which is likely a month or so away.
