They did with the motor...the 8.75 to the 10.00 helped tremendously, especially in thicker wet grass. I cut for myself and own 4 total, 2 older and 2 upgraded, one with electric start. I carousel them for longevity and they weigh much less than the commercials...had a toro and exmark, both where too heavy

Understandable, the commercial mowers last much longer...steel levers instead of plastic...believe it or not the cables snap just as often on commercial as they do the residential, and this motor is more powerful than the FJ180v Kawasaki they put on the commercial mowers although the Kawasaki gives very little maintenance needed The commercials last longer because they are more steel than plastic, it's also a reason they suck to actually operate...I take a personal pace over commercial everyday, just my personal preference

@@timkayjr2958 I forgot to mention that in order to adj mower clutch, you have to remove deck cover, loosen clamp, slide it back, tighten it,reassemble it,and then go. A "thumb wheel " on handle would be easier, faster, way to do this adj.the same goes for gnd drv.

Had one of these for a few years now and I LOVE it! I’ve got between 1/2 and 3/4 acre, used a Toro 22” mower for years but it took well over an hour to cut and had to be done twice a week. Now I don’t even think about it when the grass is a little shaggy, just give it a quick run with the TM and it’s done in about 45 minutes. The bag holds a helluva lot more than any mower I’ve ever had too, now I can bag the grass without stopping every other row. Still keep an SR4 around as back up and for smaller areas but I’ll never sell my TM unless it’s to buy a brand new one!

My grandson brought me the 22" version of this machine that he found along the curb with a sign that said free! It looked like brand new and all it needed was gas in the tank. I used it for a few weeks, it did a good job, but I almost had to run behind it to keep up, even though it is a variable speed. This was an expensive lawnmower, and someone didn't like it. I didn't either so I gave it to my niece, she didn't have a lawnmower at her new house and she is happy with this one. The one that I have and use on my city lot is a old Toro, with a 3-speed manual shift and I always run it in the lowest gear! I am 85 years old, and it is just right for me! I mow commercially. This mower is great other than the 2 OEM idler pulleys that come on it. I used this mower every day this year, Monday through Friday on 4-5 yards per day, to mow about .25 acres per yard since I usually mow all front yards with it because of the excellent cut quality I get out of this mower. The other .75 acres on these lawns is mowed with a zero turn. After replacing both original idler pulleys with OEM pulleys and also having them fail, I replaced the OEM pulleys with pulleys for the Toro/Exmark 30" pulleys and haven't had any more issues. I did have to add a washer under each pulley to get the correct spacing, but it works great. I really appreciate the videos. I also purchased a Scag SFC 30" walk behind to try. It also has an amazing cut, but it cost twice as much and it weighs roughly 100 pounds more, so it causes more fatigue on the operator when mowing in corners and around trees and shrubs. I've bought a second Timemaster now as a backup and sold the SFC. Don't get me wrong, Scag makes excellent products and the SFC is a great mower, but not for mowing around trees, shrubs, and corners in a fenced in back yard which I do every day. On my personal yard, the SFC is about the best quality cut I've ever seen, but for all around use, the Timemaster is hands down the best.

I have 2 of them..... I side mow with them. Cuts mow time in half. You failed to mention there is a 30” stripe kit for them, which by the way works excellent, makes your lawn look like the pro’s did it. The only change that I would like is a bigger gas tank, I would personally pull out the foam to gain volume for fuel. Clean out under the black belt cover every so often, build up of grass will cause the belt to jump time and the blades will clank together, don’t ask me how I know that..... Otherwise those are a great product. Good video guys!!!

Oh man what a stroll down memory lane. Your video series gave me the confidence that I buy one cheap that needs work and fix it up! Video is disheartening in the sense that that never fixed pulley issue which you showed many as well as myself from the Turfmaster. Also disheartening they still have that quick quarter turn fuel cap that is very faulty and unreliable. You also showed me how to time my blades. I feel those Atomic blades are gimmicky and got set a of gator blades. I turned up the RPMS on mine to help with mower as well! I restyled it and also added a striping kit! Best mower I have even seen and I gone through many! I have a few videos on my timemaster as well! Always pay homage to those that laid the ground work for me! Many thanks! 🦅🔧🤙🏻🇺🇸

Looks like a good unit. I do like that Toro, gives you the gear to mow the way you want or need to. I'd be tempted to trade my riding mower in for one of these if I didn't also mow my mother in law's yard. Her yard is large enough we really need a zero turn but those are a little spendy for me. We use two tractors and the mowing takes about 2 hours and another 2 to trim. That's no all of it though. There is probably another 2 hours of mowing around barns and sheds we gave up on a few years ago.

Toro about 1973 had a mower that had a circular slightly coned disk with 4 tips for a blade at each quadrant; the tips were triangular shaped and turn-able to a new sharp edge. The thought was the cone pulled the blades of grass up and the tips cut them off.

Love the channel Taryl. It should be f***ing illegal to build equipment without grease fittings and all these companies that have been responsible for engineering obsolescence into all this stuff should be forced to redesign everything to be serviceable like it should be. Not to mention they should have to replace the junk that's out there already at no charge to the customer. Another thing that should be prosecuted is making a carburetor without adjustments. One more is a lawn mower or anything else for that matter the doesn't have a throttle control and just starts wide ass open. All these things they do just so you have to spend money and so average people can't repair their own equipment. It's sick and should be dealt with harshly. Thanks for the knowledge and laughter.

I thought it was going to be to heavy and hard to maneuver but it turned out to be easier to turn and get around objects than my 21" Toro personal pace. The blades being out front help with that. You don't have to hold your fingers on the blue handle to make it speed up. Just walk faster and it speeds up. I have never used the blue handle. Will buy another when the time comes. Starts easily and bags very well. Very smooth cut. Saves a lot of time compared to 21" cut.

Hey I have a question about to my exmark turf tracer. After the engine get hot, I have to pull the cord around twenty times to crank it... do you know what can be the problem?

Okay I just got mine out today from Tractor Supply, checked her over really good, got the oil level where it should be and it fired off on the first pull. Problem? It's either the gas or something else. The only gas selling in my town atm is 93 octane and the station attendees assured me the gas was still 10% ethanol so I wasn't able to get any fuel stabilizer they were sold out. I gased up the mower, got her on the first pull but as I'm listening to the engine it has a very small sputtering going on. I know it's a new engine and it's a 2021 model. Other than that the motor runs and no issues engaging the blades. Other than the gas it would be carburetor related on the fuel mixture unless it's a timing issue. I'm kinda worried after putting $1869.00 in this mower and already having to trace down an engine problem. I've listened to others Timemasters on KZfaq and they don't seem to have that problem. If it's a simple fix I'd appreciate some feedback 🙂

So it's safe to take the foam out of the gas tank 🤔 ? I just put one on layaway until I pay off my 22 inch Toro but like some other models I have I noticed one of the wheels height adjustment or wheel bracket out of alignment making the wheel not level. If there is a simple fix it would help.

Got a Briggs & Stration 5HP engine that burn oil real bad and seems to use a lot of oil. Didn't over fill with oil. What causes that... bad valve , bad piston rings bad or head gasket. It starts fine. Thanks in advance.

Instead of using the wash out port just tilt it up for storage, and spray the underside off. You won't waste gas doing it that way and it does a better job.

Atomic GATOR blades. I remember their 'S' shaped blades but not the gators way back when. I've been running gators for years except on a Snapper with a Hi-vac setup. The Toro looks like a nice rig but I think I'll just keep on with the Roof 28 with the 8-horse Briggs I/C flat head and see what else it'll outlast. GBWYall!

residential or commercial the trick to these toro/exmark 30s is to have sharp blades and tinker with the governor so it runs at 3600 rpm

I had a little cub cadet and did that. Huge difference in power. Wouldn't try over 3600rpm, though.

I Like That It Has Timed Blades, No Strip Of Grass Left When Mowing, It's Annoying to Have To Go Over The Parts Of Grass That Was Missed. It Should Come Out With Grease Fittings On The Spindles. I Agree With You On The Idea Of Having That Foam Stuff In The Tank, It Could Break Down And Block The Fuel. Great Idea Of Having A Nice Fuel Filter On It. Good Idea On The Flick Back Switch, It Did Bog Down With The Thicker Grass While Mulching, But As You said The Grass Was Too High And It Had No Where To Go. Once You Put On The Side Chute And Catcher It Went Through The Grass Like a Hurricane. Maybe That's a Good Name For TORO If Its Not Taken. You Was Not Going Slow Either , It Ripped Through It Quickly. The Warranty On These Is Exceptional, Because They Know That Their Machines Are Of Good Quality. They LAST.. The Zero Turn Wheel horse Was a Great Machine For Turning On A Dime ❤ IT

Taryl, what's the best Lawn Tractor? Seems like the briggs engines have issues, kohler engines have issues, and even the deeres have issues. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined. What's your recommendation?

How does your engine sound with no load, blades not engaged. Mine has a slight random misfire and I was wondering if yours did the same.
