The Jack Cup TAS was actually submitted for AGDQ 2018 but it got rejected alongside almost every other TAS that got submitted for that event (only Super Monkey Ball got accepted iirc). Close, but no cigar D:

If you've only seen backwards runs from me, I recommend watching the original backwards/reverse TAS by JKT that started it all: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZtN-aJB1ydylgoE.html As for how going backwards works...DTDs, half pipe side attacks, and DTAs are so OP that you don't even need to hold the accelerator while doing them to gain insane speeds from them (though sometimes you need some initial speed with the accelerator to get things going). If you can chain enough of those speed-gaining techniques in a quick enough succession, then not only is it possible to finish a run without ever needing to use the accelerator, but you can finish a run while facing backwards because the machine's performance is the same whether it's facing forwards or backwards if the accelerator isn't being used. ...while I'm at it, here's another TAS that mixes backwards and forwards driving by Tony Thai: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fsx9ismezdW5k4U.html

Yeah, there should be a 64DD site that has a build of PJ64 (and I think a couple of other N64 emulators) that can play 64DD games, including the Expansion Kit. As far as I know, 64DD games can't be run on a re-recording emulator so they can't be TASed just yet. All of my X TASes were done on the original game and any tracks that aren't from the base game can be patched in with FZEP...including the EK tracks.

Not really. This track was made well over a decade ago and it can be run in real-time. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pJqEosag2dm2j58.html No-one has made a custom track exclusive for TASers, mainly because there are few track creators and almost no TASers for this game.
