I always liked the sprites in the SNK games. I think that's one of the reasons why their old school games aged so well. That and the great gameplay.

It's insane the damage that one combo can inflict in this game. It also takes the combo about 10 minutes to complete with the dramatic pauses for hit emphasis lol

O Genjuro já apareceu antes no filme em anime Samurai Shodown 2 - Asura Zanmaden,porém legendado. E esse filme é parecido com esse game por ter também a Rimururu,porém com o Asura como vilão. Se fosse pra alguém dublar ele poderia ter sido o Wellington Lima (Majin Boo do DBZ) ou Affonso Amajones (Pegasus do Yu-Gi-Oh) ou então ou o Francisco Bretas (Pai da Sakura de Sakura Card Captors) ou até mesmo o Leonardo Camillo (Ikki de CDZ).

Kita Senri, one of my favorite gaming artists was from the Samurai shodown team. Some of her best art is in particular warriors rage, ss 62 1&2, she does art for Nintendo now. Fire emblem etc. Her old art is still unparalleled.

Can I have a request since you started this series already? May you do a TAS for these fellows: Amakusa (whatever mode), Nakoruru (Bust) and Kyoshiro (Bust). Haha, I’ll be glad but one will suffice. SS3 will always be my favorite among the SS series. The introduction of Shizumaru and the overall aesthetics of the game, albeit with balancing issues made me loved it so much. Also, Zankuro being the villain, was for me the epitome of this series “Samurai” theme. You can argue Gaoh kind of embodies that, but among the bosses only Zankuro employs legit samurai moves (except for the energy waves and whatnot). He freakin wields a Nodachi for crying outloud all the while Mizuki and Amakusa are more on the supernatural category but very unique bosses too on their own.

Prettiest SamSho... Good game but it would be more awesome to play with mode Bust, that mode has more variety of combos and moves. Slash mode relies most on the chain attacks

11:55 - 13:00: a melhor luta do vídeo. Afinal,esses dois não cansam de se enfrentarem. E o Genjuro não cansa de ser encrenqueiro. A personalidade desse cara parece mais com a do Iori (KOF) porque só sabe almejar a morte dos que cruzam o caminho dele. Eu fico me perguntando como ele consegue conjurar cartas e flores com os golpes e special dele?

Esse foi o último game antigo do Samurai Shodown em que personagens tem cenários próprios. A partir do SS4 é que tem lutadores diferentes em cenários diferentes. Percebi aí no SS3 que tem que enfrentar 10 lutadores dos 12 enquanto no SS2 tem que enfrentar 12 lutadores dos 15. Faltou mostrar também aí no SS3 os cenários do Ukyo (num barco navegando) e do Shizumaru (num local cheio de bambus). O que mais chamou atenção em SS3 foi as saídas do Gen-An (entrou o Basara),a Charlotte (entrou a Rimururu),o Wan-Fu (entrou o Gaira),o Jubei (entrou o Shizumaru) e o Tam Tam (Amakusa ocupou a vaga),o Earthquake (entrou o Genjuro),a Cham Cham,o Sieger e o Nicotine não terem voltado.

Esse jogo parece que procurou fazer uma renovação de elenco parecida com a de FF3 em relação a FF2. Só que no caso de Samsho na minha opinião a perda foi pior do em FF3, porque tiraram chars muito carismáticos. E dá pra ver que caiu a ficha (sem trocadilho) entre os devs, vendo o elenco do 4... Correram para trazer de volta os veteranos populares. Enfim, é uma história comum já nos jogos de luta. Acho que um dos raros casos de sucesso dessas mudanças de chars foi Garou. Normalmente é ruim tirar veteranos populares.

Achei uma roubalheira essa luta final em que vc tem que enfrentar o chefão final Zankuro em 3 rounds para derrotá-lo. Foi muita apelação. Só por causa do local estar desabando desesperado devidos aos relâmpagos tiveram a audácia de usarem essa trapaça. Além disso,Zankuro é o primeiro machão como chefão do Samurai Shodown. Já que esse tirano é bastante terrível e tem golpe elétrico. Foi épico a luta final e ele cair desmaiado com sangue escorrendo no chão.

Amakusa Shiro. I know this "being". Called himself "The Dark One", he was sealed away for the past 3 to 6 centuries, he wreaks havok in all of Japan to know his vengance upon the ancestors. How I know? The very, very FIRST Samurai Showdown on SNES and Sega Genesis.

O triste é que investiram muito no visual a partir desse Samsho 3. Mesma tragédia do AOF3. Até faz a gente pensar às vezes que podia ter sido melhor não fazer tanto jogo separado e ter investido mais pesado nos gráficos de Kof. Aí quem sabe sem esses prejuízos financeiros dessas outras séries, eles não precisariam ter passado uma década reciclando gráficos de Kof. Quem sabe até teria evitado a falência da Snk...
