Araki stated in Joseph's Jojonium interview that if the Crusaders went back to BT and saw Joseph they would see "HP" extending throughout his entire body. The thing is, he says this in reference to how he came about visualizing Hamon as a Stand. HP is the perfect visualization of what Hamon is; a life-giving, martial technique that flows through the body by use of a special, constant breathing method. THAT's what the Crusaders would see. However, this DOES NOT mean he had his stand. When the Arrow (or the other various methods of gaining a stand), afflict a hamon practitioner, they gain a physical manifestation of Hamon. The vines within a Hamon user would become the physical vines for a Hamon user to use outside the body. Jojo and Joseph didn't have their Stands until the Arrow changed that. Not only that, but HP itself doesn't predict any event or person in any way similar to how Joseph does.

there's a glitch called stand separation that causes the game to believe that the stand button is pressed but it isnt, so it tries to remove the stand while readding the non-stand state but since the glitch is caused, it keeps both meaning that this stuff happens.

@@MegaMechaBasilix442 I still find it weird that some stands like hermit purple, anubis (chaka) and sethan are not actually separated from the character unlike the star platinum, hierophant green, etc. You'd think that CAPCOM would do that but nope.

@@PaperMario Functionally it makes sense. Are they really going to sprite out Chaka's sword completely separately from his body? Those stands aren't meant to leave the user unlike Star Platinum and The World. Though now that you mention it I'm surprised Old Joe can't desync from his Hermit Purple. I'm pretty sure they do have separate sprites that overlay. The issue is trying to break that overlay, something the tandem users already have programmed in.
