Hi Misty . Great combo of restaurants / food truck 🍽️! 2:00 we don’t have 24oz cans of beer here, you guys are lucky 🍺 ! Mimi’s Peruvian, I like the idea of sharing as you would in Chinese restaurants. Your dessert came out in a plastic container, which I thought was odd. So obviously it can be food to go. Enchanted by Aloha food truck you hit the nail on the head about checking when they are open, but it’s about nearly all food trucks on Oahu. Visitors like me , really need to research before heading out 👀 As you said “Don’t be scared, it is Delicious” to try something different. Tia’s , 23:08 I noticed Water for $1 dollar , it must be the only place on earth to sell water for 1 dollar ..lol But what interesting plate food , it’s like entree , main and dessert on one plate 😋then you bring out more dessert. That pineapple thing , when you said WOW took me right back to how delicious your pineapples are on Oahu. Here in Australia our pineapples are no where near as sweet. It’s got to be the volcanic soils there that make your pineapples almost lolly like 👍 It’s a credit to you, that you show these restaurants all over Oahu that most people would not give a second thought. Cheers Rod 🤙

Aw no 24 oz cans? Those are actually kinda ghetto lol. I am in Florida now and bought 16 oz cans thinking it was a 12 oz 6 pack. Strange. The desserts are packed in plastic containers and set out for display in a glass top refrigerator with their drinks. There were 2 couples that came in for take out so maybe she also does that for the take out folks. I'm not sure if the pineapple they're using is from here or canned but it was very nicely done for the pie. Omg. All the desserts were great. Thanks for your wonderful thoughtful comments Rod. 🤙❤️

My Japanese American tennis buddy and I used to go to this small Japanese restaurant in San Marcos California for lunch. They had grilled mackerel. They were awesome. Their mackerel is nothing like the mackerel I used to catch on the party fishing boats in San Diego.they were awesome. Then we used to go to this other Japanese restaraunt in Oceanside to eat some ramen. They didn’t have saimin but I believe the people who ran the place were from Hawaii. The food was very ono and the restaurant was always packed. Half of the restaurant goers were Haole.

The Okinawan Sunrise restaurant sounds like a hidden gem. The name doesn’t hint its Okinawan cuisine so it’s nice you bring awareness to these places. It’s nice to find a variety of cuisines on Oahu. I like how you zoom in the map to take us around the world. I never knew about Samoan pastries. Wowee! Wowee! Black coffee and the panipopo would make a great breakfast! When you mentioned "ceviche" my thought line went to Tahitian poisson cru. Think, dulce de leches is Latino version of creme brulée, brown sugar is toasted atop of egg custard. If am not mistaken, Samoan family opened restaurant, couple doors from CPB, maybe 2014-15?(Wow, didn't realize was that long ago!)-lol. They didn't last too long either, maybe 30-36mos. Been meaning to checkout Enchanted by Aloha. Cuisine looks interesting...Stay Aloha, Misty

Ah! I love poisson cru. But for me, ceviche I think Mexican food. I liked the dolce de leches. But not a flan person.
