After a few failed attempts as a kid i gave up and went into bartending. But now with everything that has been going on, im finally going after my dream. youve been a big help so thank you. Im so happy times have changed and artists are more open minded. thank you for your time and energy my friend

I understand you there in Justin I remember many years ago when I first picked up a machine. No information out there other than a book here and there that you could buy. But I remember that being a struggle and also being a struggle trying to comprehend and learn these things on my own. It’s definitely because of that I wanted to help ensure anyone else trying to get into tattooing has an opportunity to learn and chase a dream if they choose. Thanks again Justin I’m really glad you enjoyed the channel in the videos and I really appreciate your support my friend🤘🤘🤘🤘

I hear ya man. It was the same for me. I came home from the war injured and couldn't do my old job anymore so wanted to get into tats. It was crazy how some shops wanted to rip me off or were just rude. Started doing it myself and ten years later I have a steady clientele and love what I do.

@@travismccarty6037 I feel you on the social media thing. Its hard enough making KZfaq videos let alone keeping up with posting. I just want people to understand it takes a lot of effort and determination from them to make it in this industry. I also want to make sure people understand that its not like ink masters cause thats a TV show. Anyways I guess i get lost some times typing. But thank you again brother I will continue to try and make the best educational Tattoo videos I can. Crazy thankful for all the time & thought you've put into this series. I have been into body mod for 30ish years. I've done piercing , branding & scarification for myself & others but tattooing always seemed out of reach. Kids are expensive! Was just my 40th & one of my boyfriends bought me an entire rotary setup. Girlfriend bought the safe & sterile stuff. I spent the last week in quarentine with Covid symptoms, occupying my time with your vids, drawing 17 pages of designs & practicing setup. When I stop coughing, I've got a fruit basket just waiting for a new look❣

Kids are expensive no doubt about it but it sounds like the people around you are supporting you and thats awesome as support in tattooing can be key to moving forward. I wish you the best of luck and also hope you start to feel better soon!! Keep Rocking!! 🤘🤘🤘

Having spent the last 3 years in and out of (his schedule issues) one-on-one training for removal, areola and PMU all with coil machine AND on pigs ears, which are not forgiving at all, I have to say that your videos exceed the vision of what is hands-on taught in the classroom. Don't get me wrong, I have learned much of what you advise in respect of practice, terminology, technique BUT...DUDE...I just put my glasses on, roll my chair up to the screen and true, understandable lessons begin with you. I see myself doing all of the things you do, as I have been trained to do them yet your ability to communicate in real time with real words and real honesty while keeping it real is quite humbling and exhilarating. Taking my skill in the physical training with perfecting (the requirements of the class) each line from 1/4" to 1" then curve and so on, repeatedly for days on end and having worked in skin for different reasons or use of different media but bored or feeling less-confident than I should considering all of the above and the $$ involved and now taking YOUR light and airy but factual methodology...I think I can just about conquer the world (or at least a world tattoo including lining, separation, whipshading, etc). Everything you record, I have been taught but you honestly teach it better. So thanks from a 51-year old whose been around the continuing education block. You have a gift. Thank you for sharing your gift. Many will say the same thank you's but few will really know the seeds you have sown. For me, my new you-tube friend, I now have a new leaf on my tree of learning. Ad-lib the words of Wayne and Garth, "I am not worthy, I am not worthy". Truly, thank you. NEWBIES: This industry is stingy and most or almost all artists, whether talented or shoddy, are not willing to share tips, tricks, knowledge or even suppliers. For anyone having viewed these videos, you have been, FOR FREE, trained by a master! Consider the blessing and be forever thankful.

WOW Cheryl Im speechless thank you sooo much!! 🙏🙏 It really means a lot to me to know that these videos are helping people in such awesome ways!! And to be honest im just a slow learner sometimes lol so I try to make videos that I wanted to see when I was learning (and still am learning for sure!!). Its a passion of mine and I want to share the joy it gives me with as many other people out there who are looking for a way out or a way up. I am in no way an amazing tattoo artist but If I can share what little I know with others through these videos and help add some amazing tattoo artists to the world, then that makes it all worth it!! I thank you soo much again for the kind words and support!! You sound like an amazing person and wish you nothing but the BEST as you continue on your journey. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

@@ArtSomething Opinions are like....well, you know the old adage about that and your opinion of your skill level is lacking. There is always someone better and more skilled than us in everything there is to do but sometimes if we take a step back and look at what we have accomplished in life, the smiles we put on faces, the misty eyes of thanks from our clients, we realize that we are pretty frigging amazing at our time and place and you, Sir, are indeed that and there! I am a hands-on learner and I told my husband, "I feel like I am there, sitting next to the guy, my hand upon his, tracing tracing movements, as if I can climb into the monitor and be marked present for class. You are doing a great service. Thanks again. Have a wonderful at everything.

One thing I’m having to learn is breathing techniques while lining. I keep forgetting to exhale 😅🤣
@ArtSomething
@ArtSomething 4 жыл бұрын
That is a great point man really great point. That is often not talked about, however I have been there and use to get out of breathe tattooing because I was holding my breath to stay still but would do it for to long lol. I would say as usual with time your body and breathing get on the same page and it becomes more natural. I think as you develope and practice you should be able to work through that. Great point Al's and appreciate your continued support brother!! 🤘🤘

I relate so much. I actually had a head ache after doing a tattoo once. I figured out that I just needed to breath. I’ve also been having a death grip on my machine. I’m trying to learn how to relax my hand while lining.

@@popjames1st I would say that what you are going through is very normal. Its just a matter of working your self through it. Make sure you eat a little bit before a session or a practice session. If you stay positive and in control of your mind then you will be fine. Best of luck to you James and keep on grinding brother!🤘

Thanks again Goomba appreciate that!! 👍👍 Congrats on your first couple tattoos and I know what you mean about the skin being easier than fake skin. I believe fake skin a great for fundamentals and training your hand and what not, but at the end of the day tattooing real skin is far nicer and way more gratifying.
