My job wasn't secured for me when I was ready to return to work after Mat leave. Been 8 months I've been job searching, knocking on doors, feels like I'm practically banging on any door to get anywhere lately. I just want to financially support my family, this past year has been the toughest and I'm just ready for a new direction and something to creatively sink my teeth into. I have a sewing class coming up so at least I'll have a passion to work on while I'm unemployed. Praying for a job soon though 🙏

I approached a voluntary organisation and offered to write a cookbook using membership recipes for a fundraising initiative, got 5 submissions,so had to contribute recipes from my collection , I managed to create10 plus pages They took my draft to a focus group. OMG! They came back and said members of focus group would not buy it as they only buy the high profile chef books, my photos were not professional enough, and did not match the high profile chefs cookbook and th members would only be cooking for one or two and only wanted 50 pages. Took the comments on chin, adapted recipes for 1 or 2, and deleted my photos. . Back it went to focus group, Now they are wanting photos. Blows me away the whole idea was for me to collate the recipes from the members, 5 missions from a membership does not a cookb make
