i’ve been wanting to make this video for a while because over the last few years, the Swiftie fandom has grown exponentially with folklore/evermore, the re-recordings, Midnights and of course, the Eras Tour💖

I honestly think that Karma was just the working title or like ‘secret code’ for reputation in the way that Woodvale was for folklore. I think if anything the fact she released a song called Karma kind of proves that it isn’t an album (or at least not one she ever plans on releasing). Would love to be proven wrong though because I’m dying for a rock album 🙏🏼

Being a newer fan (got into her as Midnights was coming out. Was far too “pick-me” when debut came out and that clouded my judgement) I am obsessed! I feel like getting into her music late is almost a blessing because there is just SO MUCH CONTENT! I've been a Swifty since I decided to do a discog deep dive this past summer, (inspired by the popularity of midnights). I now own 4 of her 10 albums on vinyl (with tortured poets on the way), and have now fully learned most of the songs in her discography and watch a lot of Taylor Swift content. My favorite misheard lyric is in ‘All of the girls you loved before’ - ‘every dentistry’ instead of ‘every dead end street’. Also this was totally worth watching beginning to end, as someone who was a closeted and fearful Swiftie for years bc I didn’t want to be ‘cringy’ or ‘basic’, I’m really getting into her in my mid twenties. Here’s what I found on the Red concert DVD. A tour DVD was in the works but the project was dropped due to possible loss of rights to show footage from a venue, conflict of some previous contract, Taylor maybe being too busy, or an optimal release window couldn't be found.

I become a full out swiftie when Midnights was announced and wanted to learn more about this new album. So I watched your video on Taylor announcing midnights and was immediately obsessed. I had always loved Tay as a kid but this is when I started listening to her music more frequently. One of the first songs I listened to at this time was all too well (10 minute version) and instantly fell in love. Thank you so much for this. I'm still relatively new, as Taylor gradually got me in a chokehold since Folklore. I went from oh I love this whole album, to waiting on all the rereleases to deep dive, to now being fully invested. I can't wait for TTPD as my first full Swiftie experience. Some of this info I've seen or heard of but didn't understand the full context. You are doing a great service!

I think for me um, this video is amazing! I became a fan last year during the Midnights era and I'm sad I didn't become a fan sooner and join in on the fun, but I was born the year her career started. I got to grow up with her from the sidelines. I learned a lot of things even though I thought I knew them all. Thank you!!!

This was such a fun video, Nena! 🤍 What a great deep dive into Taylor’s life and some of the inside Swiftie jokes. I got a bracelet from the Eras Tour movie that said, “Stars Do You Like Dem” and had to look up the reference. lol! I had no idea it came from the Tumblr post / Me lyric video. Some of these references are very esoteric! Haha 😆 What a great fandom!

i love videos like this! new swifties get shamed a lot and honestly it's really sad. as taylor said, you're still a swiftie if you've been a fan for 15 minutes, or 15 years!
