Put a solar strip on the roof, or a couple. It'll keep your batteries charged while the bus is sitting and when you're at the track. Almost free electricity is a no brainer, its a relatively small cost to buy them.

Would definitely like to see some solar content. Might be rabbit hole where you end up putting solar on the house, the shop, the new trailer… lol

Yeah makes a lot of sense on a bus like this, there's so much roof area that's basically unused you could cover with panels, saves wear on the generator, means you can have the batteries charging while you're away from the bus and all the rest. Does cost more when you consider the generator is already there and works (and they pay Florida gas prices, oh the dream) but I think worth doing

Start planning now for converting to air ride suspension. The torsilastic suspension on those is prone to failure due to rust. There is a design to add air bags without having to rip out the OEM torsion suspension.

You could consider adding a photoelectric sensor into the circuit so it only turns on the lights when it's dark out, or a master switch so they are only on when you want them to be. Also would be cool to add a picture of the Corvette below the previous owners picture!

I was wondering if you might replace the picture with one of those 'electronic photo frames' that you load up via USB or SD card but is only powered up when the slide is out, & runs a continuous slideshow of e.g. the bus in regular service, some pics of the original conversion in progress, the dragster driver with any podium shots, pics of his race cars, then you & your cars...

I did the same exact thing with my wall mounted Craftsman cabinet. I had some extra limit switches from my 3D printers and wired it to some 12v LED white strips that are wired to a transformer! Its the simple things in life like having lights just turning on when you open a door that make you say " I did that and it actually works!" My wife hears about it every time I open the door when she's in my office!!

Taylor, I'd like to help with the "Time Slip" you showed from the previous owners car. It was very blurry but I remember them from racing. It shows the usual, track name, date, time, car number...etc. It shows your cars time increments going down the track in feet, usually (330, 660 990 and finally 1320 = 1/4 mile). Some tracks it also shows MPH at those time increments. It shows ET (elapsed time start to finish ) and final speed (MPH) - both at the finish line.
@Stereomoo
@Stereomoo 8 ай бұрын
Left lane is marked BYE (and right lane won) so it might not be a full pass, the rows are TREE (which shows the scale the reaction is measured on), DIAL-IN (fastest pass allowed), REACTION, 60 foot, 660 foot, MPH, 1320. 6.92 dial-in should mean the car can run that fast in the 1/4.
@michaeldean2252

It is looking pretty awesome. I would think put some rgb light strips in the living space like on the floor boards and up on the ceiling there in the middle where that mirror type thing is that would make it top tier like the luxury rv's have now and some even have what is called fiver optic rgb lighting I haven't seen where you can buy that yet but it's amazing looking. Think of an led like an lcdtv and fiber optic lighting as going to an oled TV from an lcdtv.

As a couple of other people have said. Add a master switch (or use the breaker if it's on it's own circuit.) rather than switching the lights off individually. The amp draw should be online, on the product page or in the info on the back of the light. With the Garage lighting, you could move one of the stair lights to above the internal door. So you have more lighting at the top of the stairs. With the 110 battens, are you going to swap them for LED battens or a different style of LED's?
