@@Mr.Carbon1 Given that the whole presentation was candlelit, shot from multiple camera angles with no suggestion of him reading music, or perceptible editing , and his other videos seem to be from rote , I’m guessing he’s a savant…? p.s. and who said it wasn’t from memory?

Surely one of the most gifted bandonionists alive today. I don't think people realise just how complicated the diatonic bandonion is. There are four completely different keyboards on this small, but complex instrument. Each keyboard changes completely on the push and pull stroke. The layout is very complex, and apparently follows no logic. What Claudio plays here, very few people in the world can do. His memory must be phenomenal. He borders on a genius. I invite people to also discover Paolo Russo and Mickael Zissman- very different, but also very talented. Claudio, like Paolo, is also a very gifted pianist AND composer. Greetings from France. I accomplished performing this piece on the violin at our annual Christmas concert, and it was beyond exhilarating! Performing any magnificent compositions by Tchaikovsky is exhilarating. With a prior seven years of piano lessons and learning to play the violin as a freshman in high school, by Junior year earning a seat as second violinist was an accomplishment (especially felt by my parents, including my father who dreamed of one of his children becoming a great musician). That wasn't in the cards but just developing a love for classical music and a fervent passion for the arts has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Apart from loving the wonderful execution of this beautiful music I wonder if there is an accordeon that can sound as good as this bandoneon. I can play the accordeon but I think I will be 100 before I can play the bandoneon.

The bandoneon is truly the most expressive of the bellowed free reed instruments. There is a distinctive tone that separates it from all other accordion-like instruments.

This is a MAGNIFICENT PERFORMANCE of one of the most beautiful pieces written by Man❤❤❤. The Bandoneon has such a sweet/honest and simple, but adorable tone that it is the last instrument I would expect to hear Tchaikovsky on!! You have given absolutely new life to that classical masterpiece, and I will be listening on repeat for the rest of my life❤❤❤❤‼️
