Every model/brand (Ford, Renault, Dacia) that uses this module has the same problems; It gives an error when it warms up. I guess when the module is the same and the problem is the same, the solution will be the same.

that's a torque converter clutch code. These cars don't have a torque converter..

can you use a normal soldering gun? im not an electronics guy so i hav not much experience soldering and im scared to short them out. But i have 2-3 junkyard tcms to experiment on i just wana fix them up incase my car breaks down

This soldering is more efficient, because you have to use the thinnest tip because those ends that you need to soldering are also very thin. Plus you need at least 400 amps of heat for de soldering wire to melt fast enough. Thanks for watching

@@javierortiz1000 400 amps will weld very thick steel. I think you meant to say 400 degrees of heat.

Touch the soldering iron to the tip of the pin you will solder and wait. (Let it be 350-400°C.) Touch the thin solder wire to the part you touched the soldering iron to, it will fall to the bottom in the form of a drop. This will create a smooth solder. Use a magnifying glass to see clearly.

What was the defect in the TCM? I ask, because I have one here that is without communication, consequently the car does not start.

It was taking longer than usual for the car to get to normal speed

I currently have one also with same issues with yours.. No Cranking Ford Focus.. TCM not Communicating... the Mechanic is saying i need to buy another 1, but seeing this video now is it fixable, or at this stage i have to buy another?

I had this issue, the large silver capacitor inside the TCM was bad. This capacitor is in the power circuit, if it fails the TCM doesn't get power so the ECM won't allow the crank signal to the starter relay. replaced the capacitor and problem was solved.

Soldering the pins didn't work for me. There are many videos showing this is the solution, none of them confirm the repair fixed the issue. I spent a full day doing this, complete waste of time. Looking toi convert my focus to manual transmission. The engineers at Ford need to be fired for utter incompetence and Ford should recall every one of these transmissions and replace them free of charge or offer a manual version. Engineers these days are morons, stop trying to be clever ! Even the best engineers screw up trying to be clever, just ask an Audi or Mercedes owner.
