thanks for the video , for me I prefer the slim look of no tour pack so I would only have it on for long rides or If wife is on the back for a decent time. Around town even with her on I would leave it on but on chapter rides or real long rides I would use the pack for storage and to scoot the wife a couple inches back lol

I agree the slim look is far better but damn, I love the storage convenience and who doesnt like a backrest, ha! Thanks for watching.

Good morning Mike, I bought a chopped pack from same company for my RGS. I painted it myself to color match the snake venom. What I love about the quick release is how versatile it becomes. I like the sleek look of the dressed down bike. Mine did not come with mounting bracket holes pre-drilled. Funny story, I put the mounting bracket on backwards the first time, and had to re-drill the holes. I used epoxy to fill the mistake holes. I take my tour pack off when we are doing local rides or if I have a passenger (i bought a bracket that pushes my tour pack forward over the passenger spot) If we are doing a weekend trip I'll throw the tour pack on to carry all the extra. The top luggage rack is rated for 10#. Ride safe. 🙂

You need add rack . Lucky got mine off ebay already put together. Yeah I have to check but your look to be open wide . I know some people do add a safety strap . Be extra careful on windy day . Most people like to change their look . Most people don't keep theirs on unless going on trip or riding a passenger. I like mine for the convenience of it . Can lock helmet in it .

Didnt even think about windy days, good looking out. The ability to store your helmet in it is huge, especially if it does two for when the wife and I travel.

Mike could you tell me what the distance is from the bottom of the backrest to the fender. I have a chopped tour pac and want to get a wrap around backrest. Thanks

Just checked it out and from the base of the pad to the top of the fender its almost exactly 5 inches. Havent seen one of these on a chopped pack, sounds like it would look good though.
