I had a Legend air system on my Heritage and had nothing but problems with it. The air shocks were defective. Legend would not send new ones nor could they keep the old ones in working order. The original air pump literally exploded. I went back to original, non-air shocks. I recently installed a Fox remote revisor system on my Road King. The ride is as good or better than the air system when it rarely worked. I was so impressed with the rear, I put a Fox cartridge system on the front last week. Was out some this weekend and I highly recommend the Fox system front and rear. It’s a HUGE improvement over factory shocks. Man Mountain Mike, you are 100% correct in needing reliability on the road of multiple part systems like air ride. Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) comes to mind when working on bikes. That’s all I have for ya Bro. on this one. I’m out for now.

It's definitely not a fast up I recently hooked this system up with a centerstand kit it works okay but it doesn't really lift great with a person on the bike I feel it's a pressure issue you have to drain the tank completely to get the compressor to kick on so I'm changing out the pressure switch that should help but over all not a bad kit

HI RIDING THE OZARKS ... thanks for sharing this video. I'm looking for a video to see the left side with the exhaust, saddle bag mounted and clearance afterwards.. Thats how I can across your vid. may I suggest, changing the air valve, instead of the 1/8th air valve, run a 1/4 or a 1/2 valve with a regulator. . Changing pressure switch won't change anything, it works fine. you don't need higher air pressure (that's how you blow out your struts, or lines, or fittings), you need a quicker delivery. If you want quicker than 9 seconds use bigger valve, airline, and fittings. I've air bagged a couple of trucks and that delivers quicker air delivery. (if that makes sense)

This system is designed for 2-1 exhaust with no exhaust on the left side. I will pass your suggestion on to my buddy, thanks. Personally I’m not going down the air ride path.

I have same system replaced all fittings with bigger ones and bigger airlines got rid off cheap Chinese fittings now it's perfect

It's a good kit if you're willing to modify, I added higher rated pressure switch and release valve

I had JnR air ride on my 16 SG and will never run that again. I am not a fan of the ride but did like the lowering ability. I went with Legend Revo A on my 18 RGS and experience a better ride and handling

You seem to mostly work on Harleys but do you know if I could use one of these kits on a 79 goldwing. I bought it crashed and I turned it into a Cafe racer but I used Harley 13in coilover shocks on the rear and their way to stiff for how light the bike is now. I assume I could hide the compressor and tank in fake gas tank area with very little fab work but I can't find details on mounting hole size for these shocks on their website.

I would look for info on stock shock mount bolts for late model Harley touring bikes, you use the factory bolts. Quick google search says they should be about 1/2 diameter.

I don't want to rain on Man Mountain Mike's parade here but Jay, you are spot on. Mike puts out a lot of really informative and interesting content here. However, with air ride comes the dangers of road hazards messing with air system components. No swipe at TCMT or Man Mountain Mike but some manufactures are selling junk air rides and I'm naming names, Legend is one of them. I hope Mike does a follow up, long term review of this product.

I don't know, you would assume any fitting from factory would be sealed and tested...

The tcmt shocks do not last very long. Mine lasted maybe three months then one started leaking oil.

TCMT offered us this set to do an install video so this video needed to be about their system not about solving his issues, hope that makes sense. He thought it would be better than the system he had so my friend wanted to try it since they offered it.
