You can also get exotic weapons from a kiosk at the tower that you might not have gotten last year, like the Stasis scout rifle from The Deep. It will require a Cipher. That's what I'll be doing tonight.

Picked the warlock chest piece first after a campaign that was honestly kind of easy, Was using malfeasance, the solar healy auto rifle and the new strand machine gun for most of the campaign, occasionally using something arc or void where needed. Had off all things the sanguine alchemy exotic on, extended rift times here and there where nice plus bonus solar damage. As soon as it was acquired I had prismatic on and the second I got hellion, bleak watcher was tossed in a box. Ran that with feed the void and still have been. Super was nova bomb, grenade was vortex void. Last encounter I brought out 1k because it melted the subjugators

I beat the legendary campaign as my first playthrough of it, it was way too stressful.

I had 30 exotic engrams per character saved so I didn’t have to focus them. I just turned them in and I still had a few engrams left to buy the 2 new exotics for all three characters.

Another way to get the new Exotic armor pieces is the Vex Strike Forces, those are still going. I got all my Titan exotics from them

I wish I knew focused did more. I just cashed all my exotics in. If I focused I would have been able to buy all the new exotics but now I need to earn more exotic engrams now. Got both Hunter and one Warlock done so far.

This new system to acquire exotics of course require the usual grinding but removes the RNG of Lost Sectors, which always sucked. I welcome the change. Note: I am always bleeding Glimmer. I suggest using the ghost MODs to extracts max glimmer and planetary resources. Run around the Cosmodrome with your sparrow and you'll have a truckload of those very quickly. Doing Public Events is also a great source.

My friend somehow got one of the new exotics(for Titan his first character) as soon as the expansion launched. He had farmed some lost sectors the last day of the season and let them go to the post master and unbelievably he got the new chest piece when he pulled it out of the post master. He was only rank 7 at Rahool(from turning in the 9 he saved on his character) and it just decrypted into the new one. If he hadn't of sent me the clip I wouldn't have believed it myself.

All my characters are full with exotic engrams 😂. Hell yeah, this gonna be fun.

Also, echoes are something that Osiris can use, like reflections but using darkness, and apparently they have potential to go rogue. Before the final shape, vanguard strikes gave exotic engrams every 3 strikes. They now don’t from looking at the directory, is there a more efficient way of getting drops to give to Rahool or are we in the hands of RNG once more? I don’t want to spend longer with prime engrams etc.

If rahool is not letting you buy the new exotics after a reset: There is now a third page for exotic focusing, this is where you can buy exotics you haven't obtained yet for a different cost than re-obtaining them

If you want a quick exotic engram, you get a free one just by completing the new 12 man activity for the first time.

Kinda random but i like how they are finally expanding on weapon archetypes Ethier by straight making brand new ones or expanding on ones that only had lilke 1 maybe 2 and wete releasef yesrs ago and also got sunset lol Although the fact that bows got no new archetype again is just wrong tbh haha bows are super popular snd have just 2 types precision /lighteeight with precision widely regarded as superior. A long bow type with a larger draw and reload time but better range and stronger plus you could get increased accuracy and stability when standing still and not moving for a short time Seems lile a no brainer
