Daemon is the way he is cause he’s a loyal second son to a fault. His out bursts as chaotic as they may be at times come from him being a 2nd son and taking the duty of putting his family first at all costs and then getting absolutely nothing out of it.

David talking about Ice and Longclaw makes it sound like they are too heavy. Real swords are lighter than people imagine. He mentions how the katana is half the weight of Longclaw. A katana is around approximately 3 pounds, a longsword should be around the same weight, while a zweihander isn't even double that. He's describing Longclaw as heavier than a real world zweihander. That's a problem with a lot of TV and films, they often make the weapons too big and too heavy compared to real world ones. I'm assuming they do it because they look more impressive on the screen.

On the swords: medieval swords were usually not that heavy 1-3 pounds usually. Guns are not really lighter. Also, it is actually rather easy to gain the basic strength one would need for basic fighting

Imma wait til i get to my laptop to explatiate, but LML you got greatswords wrong. In terms of reproductions, the "sword community" distinguishes between swords and "sword-like objects" (or wall-hangers). Ironically, Girl Nettles spoke about that her Longclaw just hangs on her wall. I dont know the quality of instrument the Longclaw or Ice that you tested out were, but they sound like wall-hangers. Katanas feel light because of where the points if balance and rotation and percussion are. Same with European swords. If youre over/about six foot you can defo lift and manoeuvre a greatsword with ease. Now how long for is a different issue, as you pointed out with strength, stamina and training being necessities to be good at it, but if it felt like a big ol' iron bar in your hands, it was probably just that, and not a sword at all, but a wallhanger. A european sword is not a club. Longclaw specifically is supposed to be able to be used either one or two-handed. (I'm not a Europhile; europe pillaged my country of origin for centuries. Just tryna clarify)

Just rewatched your deep ones video and had a thought: When I see this theory, I think of how it has to relate to the others and the main story. The MO of both is pretty related. Farming humans for reproduction, and receiving worship. Perhaps it is a parallel, or perhaps it is related. Could these deep ones be some more literal form of “sea others”? If the basics spirit holding and transfer is common on land, could there be similar mechanism below the waves? I specially like the idea of the others being some sort of icy shadow babies. Could these deep ones be some kind of watery ghosts? Or perhaps water undead?
